I honestly think this is a good pick up for us. He is game ready, and even if he doesn't start in his one year we will have a solid back up who will push the starter for playing time.

I don't see the point in bringing in a new Qb just to red shirt and then compete for a position for one year. We need an experienced Qb this year, not next season. We'll worry about that later. Hell, anything can happen between now and next year.
