Wyoming offensive coordinator Brent Vigen stopped just short of hyperbole in describing his satisfaction with the play of senior quarterback Cameron Coffman through six days of practice.
“I don’t want to say light years, but pretty significantly (ahead),” Vigen said when asked where Coffman compares to UW's quarterback situation at this point last season.
“I think both his experience and his ability is a little bit different,” he added. “And I know depth-wise with Josh (Allen) in that second hole, we’re much, much different from where we were last year.”
Vigen and UW coach Craig Bohl named Coffman the Cowboys’ starter early on during spring drills, and he’s done nothing but solidify that label thus far this fall.
