my sources -----> "trust me bro"My sources deep in the program have told me the same. There is some major favoritism going on in the program on both sides of the ball.
The morale is hanging on by a thread because of the qb situation on offense and not playing/rotating or even starting certain defensive players. This is a major problem.
A competitive program whose goal is to win every game will allow the players to compete every week for playing time and does not have the lineups set in stone regardless of game performance or practice performance.
This will be a perpetually uninspiring team led by uninspiring coaches. It's shameful they have the audacity to live off the accomplishments of past WYO teams and actually believe they are in that club.
If Hughes is the heart and Soul of the team, then he lacks both because the team does. The love affair between Taylor and Hughes is friggin' weird. Sorry. It just is.
considering we overpaid for Sawvel, I guarantee you that Hughes fleeced them in negotiations. He probably said some team was going to give him 700K when in reality there were no other teamsprobably?
depends on where CSU was with the other 2 QBs they brought in. Maybe knowing they brought in 2 other guys wasn't appealing to a short average QBEven a contract in place would not explain rejecting an offer for more than 3 times the amount. Accordingly, I am very suspicious of these reports that Wyoming is paying between $100-$300K and CSU subsequently offered $800K. Every person is taking the CSU deal at that point.
Absent a significant change, I think your expectations are well placed. From what some of you are writing, I expect most of the “better” players will be hitting the transfer portal. This will further weaken an inept team. Good times!
I don't have first-hand knowledge. But I do know those that do. And I trust them. Doesn't matter much either way - as we will all find out real soon. The reality is that we can't do much about it anyway. Burman is going to Burman. Sawful is going to Sawful. Taylor, Bouknight, and Trip are going to suck. Hughes is going to struggle. And the sun will likely come up in 2027 with a depleted team and the rest of the suckitude firmly in place (sans Hughes, who will depart with some fools' money). We might sneak into a bowl, but we will limp in and limp out of it after multiple drubbings to close out the season. UTEP, NIU, and maybe AFA are mirages and will be long forgotten as we close out the season with the butt kickings that will be administered by UNM and UNLV.my sources -----> "trust me bro"
