I was at that game. 4 things stick out in my mind, hoost's big td, tcu couldn't run on us at all, dalton almost made the come back, a tcu fg attempt hitting the pole and bouncing out. Great game, I was there with a couple of buddies. Good times.

I remember Cowboy Joe looking like he let off the gas up about 24-3, and it almost cost us the game. I have a feeling if we can pull an upset again we might have a similar outcome

I have never been a fan of the music that they pick for these promos. I've also never been a fan of the music they play at the games either.

I've always thought that the perfect song to be blairing over the PA system when the team runs onto the field or the court would be Pantera's Cowboys From Hell. It's a got a face melting opening riff that would get anyone's blood pumping plus the name is cool (especially if the War regained some of that home field advantage we enjoyed in the '80s and '90s.)

I barely know who Pantera is! If I was running things, I'd play 80's rock and stuff like the anthem from "Top Gun" for the opening. Play something everybody knows.

I agree that we should play more generally known rock anthems during the games, especially stuff us old farts partied to but what I'm suggesting is a unique and memorable way to enter the field. It's not necessarily about Pantera, the band, its about the name of the song, how it sounds and what it implies. Go listen to the song on youtube and in your head picture this: the War or the AA at capacity, the Pokes are gathering at their entrance points, the intro to the song starts, the crowd starts going nuts and and right when the main riff hits, the cannon blasts (if its the War) and Pokes come running out on the field or court and the song plays until everyone hears the chorus "we're the cowboys from hell". Hell, we could even throw in a smoke machine for shits and giggles. Once the crowd realized the name of the song and how it got them pumped up they wouldn't care it was Pantera. I think it would give us a kick ass way to enter the field of play and start a new tradition.

To be fair, the one thing that makes recruits excited more than anything else is to see a program that has fun and WINS.
