Wait, Wyoming HS plays their games on Saturdays? Interesting...WestWYOPoke said:Wyoming high school basketball just started this weekend. That could be one reason why UW is trying to avoid Saturday games as they know there are a lot of people in the state that will be traveling/watching high school ball on Saturdays, but will typically not be on Sunday. Honestly, I can't blame that logic, they should be more worried about people in the state being busy with Wyoming high school games on a Saturday than they are worried about some NFL team from another state on a Sunday.

Gotcha.WestWYOPoke said:Typically they will play Friday and Saturday with the occasional Tuesday game thrown in. In 4A, the highest level, 2 teams are paired as traveling partners, Team A will play @ Team C on Friday, then at Team D on Saturday. Meanwhile, Team B @ Team D Fri, @ Team C Sat.
Next man up!stymeman said:Not a Donkeys fan, Go Cardinals...lol, but yes Sunday games are not in UW's best interest!!!

Just because you might not consider skipping a Wyo hoops game to watch the Broncos on TV during a playoff race, doesn't mean that no one else will. And actually, most people in Laramie are choosing the Broncos over the Pokes on a sunday. So here's the solution...instead of saying "We only want people who put Wyo hoops above all else" how about they just don't try to compete with the Denver Broncos?

The UW game was mostly over by the time the Donks began. I missed most of the first quarter. Best of both worlds.
Maybe UW shouldn't compete with hunters, the chuchgoers, the Broncos, the local high school, the pancake breakfast, the horse drawn wagon rides, blah, blah, blah. But they do. Just like every other NCAA school. It's all about priorities.
