All 3 hits were good, hard football hits by a very good linebacker. Personally, I think that's how football should be played. When you get the chance to lay the wood on a guy, then you should do it. Sometimes big hits result in injuries, but that's part of playing football.
Should Carder have been flagged? Debatable. In the end, my personal feeling is that all these new rules that result in a penalty in the vast majority of hard hits are pure bullshit. I hate the rule when UW gets flagged and I hate it just as much when our opponent gets flagged. Let the dudes play.
