Bowl Projection Roundup

BYU can wallow in hell for all I care!
 
I'll go to the bowl game if it's Las Vegas or Albuquerque for sure. San Diego, maybe. Arizona and Boise probably not.
 
I don't want to play BYU. Best case scenario, we start beating up on them, and then they play Allen/Hill dirty and tear their ACL on purpose or something. It ends up all over the place shown on TV as yet another scandal. BYU then tells the NCAA that they're having an "internal" investigation, which then results in the coaches making the responsible players sit out a spring practice session as punishment. The NCAA doesn't say a thing after.

Plus a brawl will break out and Wyoming will get blamed for it.
 
Vegas vs Pac12 or bust. Hate the idea of playing zoobies. Done with them. The real travesty in all of this is the crappy bowl tie ins.

Yuuuuuup. Unless a major bowl is in play, the golden prize for the MW champ is a date with a mediocre Pac-12 team. Thompson and co. need to do so much better.
 
Looking at the other G5 tie-ins

AAC: Sun Belt, MAC, C-USA, ACC/ND (x2), SEC
C-USA: MWC (x2), Sun Belt, AAC, Big Ten
MAC: Sun Belt (x2), AAC, MWC
Sun Belt: AAC, C-USA, MAC (x2), MWC
*First three also have a three-way tie-in for an additional bowl (Bahamas)
 
Bowl be damned just get a conference championship and go from there. If we win the conference but lose the bowl it's a successful season like none I can remember.

If there ever was a year to want byu it's this one. They have a good to great running game but are terrible in the pass. Falls right into our wheel house.

It could be both.
Precedence says the winner of mwc goes to Vegas bowl (assuming no NY6 invite). My interpretation of that is every single projection is assuming SDSU or Boise win. I update this weekly. I am just posting it. A few changes from last week, but not much. Last week, 7 of the 11 had us going to Boise.
 
If Vegas was straight up picking the team, regardless of finish, it's a no brainer. Wyo or Boise.

Vegas Bowl will likely get App State or North Texas
 
win and we go to LV, and LV will welcome Wyoming yet again, lose and we'll go to San Diego for Poinsettia, on a darned weekday, grrrrrr..... and have to play a Utah school at either one most likely, cmon Pokes

REAAAAAALLY hope we don't get BYU. Taysom Hill may be prone to throwing interceptions, but he does know how to use his feet (600+ yards and 8 rushing TDs this season, so ahead of Josh Allen in both), which is bad.

I don't think I could deal with trashtalking BYU fans if they New Mexico us.

Ugly matchups...but we owe App State some payback!

Vegas Bowl is the only game I can make it to with pre-planned holiday travel (already booked the flight to Vegas, so lets go Pokes!!!)

I think Taysom Hill is out for the season after the gruesome injury.
