It's an indictment of this team that losing one player turns it into Sheridan College. Sobey can post all the neat little sayings he wants on his Twitter, and Adams can give all the fun quotes he wants two days before the game about proving everyone wrong. The fact is neither of them are good enough to lead this team to a win without Larry Nance.
 
Again its obvious that Nance was the engine and the drive train the rest of the guys are tires, rims and wipers.

Considering no one can carry this team to a victory by themselves including Nance. We need at least 1 person playing exceptional which was usually Nance. Then we need at least 2-3 other people showing up.

Tonight it was all Adams, but we needed Sobey and Grabau to show up as well.
 
Baffling basketball game. Find myself wondering how it would have gone if Drmic had played and Adams weren't NBA Jam blue fire hot. Nance owns Laramie. He is Wyoming.

Here's our new slogan: Somebody has to finish at the bottom, might as well be us.

I'm open to suggestions. This might be our worst performance of the year. They literally got any shot they wanted, inside or out. It's funny, Sobey steps up one night and then disappears. Adams plays bad vs. air farce and then has a career game. But one thing remains consistent in the post Nance period: We have absolutely no bench.
 
What was the difference in the Poke defense the first 15 minutes compared to to the last 25? Answer: BSU figured it out, and the Pokes couldn't, in turn, figure out the answer. For shame, Shyatt.

Of course in the second half fatigue played the big role. Still nobody (but Adams) really contributed. Unfortunately Grabau had another weak game, but then open looks were scarce, in my estimation because of the seemingly hesitant ball handling - get the ball - pause - then try to figure out what to do with it. That delay allows a defender to match up every time. Cooke being out of position constantly didn't help.

Just my observation. I'm sure others will see it differently.
 
I'm still numb.....no idea what to say. No Drmics, and Marks sucked a big one today. I knew Nance was elite, but Jesus......
 
I hope Lieberman, the shooting jew can hit 3's. and this Vegas kid Dionate is a stud, because if not it's going to be a very long year. I tend to agree that our rebounding position is for shit, c'mon Coaches it's part of the element of good basketball. We never find a body to box out.

Guys I think we will make a run in the tourney. If we get past the first round and Hawaii it's inevitable that we will become circumspect but I have seen crazier things happen Fresno and Utah valley have shown in the past a when a prayer and skills beyond the arc lead to inevitability that cannot be undermined no matter how daunting the task at hand.
