I'm still numb. VERY good basketball game.......BSU earned a lot of respect tonight in the MWC. No Marks, Thompson, Buckner and they still march into Laramie for a win.

It stings no doubt, but I hope nobody is laughing......especially the Big 3......cause you're next douchebags. This Broncos team can play.

Probably won't see the big dance either. Martinez was the 3 point edge the Pokes needed, and would have probably need, but don't have, down the stretch. Hello NIT (maybe)

With Luke, maybe. But we have some dam hard games coming. Boise just beat us with 9 guys. And without their leading scorer mind you. We would have to go on a streak again with wins over multiple ranked teams to get ranked again. We were 14-0 for crying out loud and are barely SNIFFING top 25 (not even top 25 depending on some polls). I don't think it is silly to say that the games will get MUCH tougher than tonight. And we lost.

He is right, We got the top 25 spot and we aren't likely to see it for the rest of the year. The foul on Adams should have been intentional he didn't make a play for the ball he grabbed his arm but I won't complain I will just cheer em on for the rest ofthe conference season.
 
Reminds me of a game back in the day where SDSU drilled one at buzzer to send us all home quiet.

God just hates Wyoming. Arizona lost their game but someone at Buffalo Wild Wings smeared bleu cheese on the monitor and the game goes to OT.

Be easier to swallow if we could beat those donks in football one of these years.
 
We have a hard time handing full court pressure, you can bet we will see a lot of that during the rest of the season. With little depth, losing martinez is huge and will be for a while, hope its not to late.

The three point edge I mentioned was about the three points needed to win this game, not three point shooting. You are right, with his defense AND shooting, this would be a different game, not to mention giving some players a rest with an additional player in the rotation. I'm surprised Sobey didn't play more. Did Shyatt not like his defense so much?
 
It seemed that it was just too easy for Boise to get inside. Pokes had trouble getting inside, BSU presumably not worried about feeds to the perimiter with Luke gone.

Well, the rest of the team is not really known for making the 3 though. Washington can occasionally knock them down, but he's much better on the inside. Martinez is what opened up our offense so much, and helped our defense as well.
 
It sounded like Sobe played well when he was in there.

This is why we don't have threads dedicated to talking about how we not getting votes. Not that it matters but now we actually got ranked and promptly lose, I just get pissed about everything. My whole fucking night is ruined.

We did a good job coming back there at the end and its good to see the kids
play there heart out. Just a bummer. Big free throws at end.
 
On a positive, these last two years are the first time in years that poke bball has gotten my heart racing. Shyatt has spoiled me.
 
Tough loss but I can tell you right now that I don't think anyone beats Boise at Boise if they have all of their players. They shoot the 3 ball very well. Can't believe we didn't gaurd their best shooter on those 2 3 balls the last 30 seconds. We need to win at Nevada now on Saturday for sure.

Nevada got beat pretty good at Air Force. Both teams will be playing desperate basketball to avoid the dreaded 0-2 start.
