I think Burman agrees with you..

Side note: did i miss these Burman quotes in the WYO media? I definitely could have.
It was on a South Dakota sports talk show August 19. I didn’t listen. You can find the link in the Murray article.

The Wyoming media is rarely on top of stuff like this often only replicating news releases from UW.

I actually agree with Burman's take on this. I also understand the barriers in the way of elevating an FCS team to FBS right now.

Now was not the right time, but at some point, I do think Wyoming, Montana, Montana State, and South Dakota State all end up in the same conference. Is that because those other teams are "elevated" to whatever level UW is at or because UW was "demoted" down to their level? Only time will tell.

I think a lot of people would be surprised with how competitive these teams would immediately be in the MWC if given the chance.

If done correctly, I don't disagree. The key is post-season. If that group (include ND) could gain access to whatever level develops below the highest level, it could generate a lot of regional interest and potential sponsorship primarily in the energy and healthcare industries.

Take ND, SD, WY, and MT. College programs are the only game and WY is the only FBS program. The Dakotas have strong NFL support that could potentially be translated to the right college situation.

Honestly, we lose to South Dakota State, South Dakota, NDSU, Montana State and maybe Montana this year.
