I guess I can understand if the man we hire is coaching now and doesn't want his name released, but didn't we hire Christensen and announce it before the end of the season. I'm pretty sure his interview was before the end of the season. Why are we dragging our feet? I believe it has been a couple of weeks since Schroyer was let go. I can understand the UW admin getting their list, putting it into priorities, making contact with the candidates, discussing it with the selection committee, and then doing some interviews, but this shouldn't take more than 3 weeks at the most. Why sit on it or wait to make the hire for another 2 weeks. It leaves the door open for any number of things to go wrong. Maybe I'm pessimistic, but all these comments by other coaches in the conference weren't just casual comments - they were meant to hinder the process of Wyoming getting a good coach. Then there is bywho whose coaches and admin are degrading the MWC and Wyoming every chance they get. IMO, the longer we drag this out, the more difficult this will get.

Go Fred.....if he can get this team to the Sweet 16, then he deserves a chance to be HC. It would be nice if on the way to the Sweet 16, we won out. That would make the decision easier.Adv8RU12 said:And when Langley take the Pokes to the Sweet Sixteen - then who do you want?
Way too early to be getting concerned. If the end of the month rolls around and we still don't have anyone then I'll start to worry.McPeachy said:The longer this process takes...the pool continues to shrink.
If TB & UW can't pull the trigger on someone the week after selection Sunday (say Monday March 14th), then they f##king better well have Shyatt or Dooley on the hook (and have to wait until the entire season is over for both / either Florida or Kansas respectively).
I have a bad feeling about this now...

I feel like the fans want a hire before the start of the tourney (Gillespie or Cox) or at least be given assurance we'll see the likes of Shyatt, Dooley or Rice coming to Laramie.

Jeremy Cox would be a HUGE f##king mistake. Currently an assitant at a (3 & 13 / 9 & 21) South Florida. Now, if he brings BCG with him as head man...OK!
