524 yards on the ground in just 3 games!

RB battle next year will be interesting to say the least. Wick, May, Hill, Tapscott...not to mention any newcomers like Overstreet and the kid they are recruiting down in CO.

May I'm a bit worried about. He had his 2nd leg injury in as many years. Wick, his was a broken wrist that may heal in time for the final game. But May, yeah.

Second knee injury, When was the first? His redshirt was from torn left pectoral I didn't know about any other knee issues.

Pectoral? My bad. Thought it was a leg injury.

It will be hard for hill not to be the starter next year, he blocks well , catches well out of the backfield and of course run like a mofo.

What I'd do: Redshirt Hill, start Wick and May. If the need arises, pull the redshirt. That would give UW three full years with Hill as the leading back. You still have Tapscott and Stover to lean on if Wick or May go down next season. Hill is going to be special.. don't really like him splitting carries in a three headed monster, IMO. My opinion.

I think Wick and Hill dominate next season, and May will be a 3rd option.
Then Hill will be the #1 guy and May will be the #2 the following season.
Play Hill next season, no red-shirt.

There is NO way Hill redshirts.

That's like saying Grabau/Cooke/Hank should have redshirted just so they could play with Larry one more year (assuming Larry was going to miss all season).
If Hill was going to redshirt, I am sure a big program would find him a spot on their roster. I mean why not? If you get disrespected like that, are going to sit out a year, why not go to a bigger school?

I could see Hill getting a red-shirt next year and I would have nothing against it because Wick and May are both strong backs. Honestly as long as we can get a consistent QB we'll be fine.

Another idea I had.. don't use May as a true running back. Shift him around into a slot receiver of sorts. Wheel routes with that guy would be fun too.

Not bad. His speed is lethal.

True but his carries have been more than anyone else in a 3 game period. Hes gotten almost every carry.

This. If they want to compete, I think the Pokes need to figure out how to get all of their best players on the field.

This is why coaches don't tell you that you are going to redshirt until the season is underway, lot harder to leave then. Not saying Bohl does that, but a lot of coaches do.

Interesting and not a bad idea. I don't think Hill should sit a year. The goal is to win and to do so, you need your best players out there. Recruit to build the future; recruit someone better than Hill that is ready to hit the field in 3 years.

No you wouldn't want to Redshirt Hill. Use Wick and Hill as the main backs and DJ May as a slot. DJ won't take as much punishment at slot as he did at Rb. Then have Tapscott and Stover as back ups. Then redshirt the incoming freshman backs. That makes more sense especially because May hasn't had his ACL surgery yet and will miss spring ball. Got to get May in space for him to be useful. He tends to get nicked up more at RB and we need more speed at receiver after losing Claiborne and Rufran. Wick and Hill are "A" gap runners and good blockers and perfect for this offense.

I said this in another post, but no one responded. May's skill set is far better suited to play receiver. He is super fast and that is something we lack (supposedly) at WR. I think he could basically take Roufran's spot next year.
