Anybody have the numbers on the current capacity? I think I remember hearing that when all is said and done, it'll be around 11k. What is it now with no luxury area?

Also, what games are most likely to sell out this year, if any?

I think the current capacity is around 13-14K Right now, the next phase will take out more seats.. I think we could get close to 10K on saturday. They should be promoting this one big time! 4 PM Saturday against a neighboring PAC 12 opponent... I really hope we have a big crowd. I am coming from Billings for it.

Dave said the new AA capacity is 11,600

As of now, or after the final phase? I would think that figure was after the final phase. :twocents:
I would assume after phase 2 but he did say old capacity 15000 and the new AA capacity 11600. FWIW

The 11600 is the current capacity of the AA after the first phase.

So after they take out 4 sections of upper deck, to put in the luxury whatever, the final number is going to be less than 10,000. Not a question - if 11,660 is current capacity right now...

No the club area is not going to be that big. Keeping the capacity above 10,000 is a big priority right now.

I know in the original Master plan, the designs said they would lose 400 seats each for the two new big screens, and then another 2200 for the club area. That would put it at 3000 from original capacity or ~12000. Certainly some changes since those designs were drawn up, so perhaps Dave was talking what attendance WILL be when we are done, or we won't lose much more after Stage 2.

Ya the original masterplan has changed a lot. the club area is being scaled down quite a bit because we lost
so many seats in phase one.

I think westwyo is right and the number was misquoted. The 11k should be the final number not after phase 1

Oh my...that is a serious fuck up on UW's part. Wonder where the accountability will end up...I would bet the architect &/or engineering groups. Probably will just get swept under the rug anyway, with the premise of "hey fans, be grateful for what you have" mantra, when it could have been so much more, and so much better.

If we drop to under 10k, I don't care how amazing it looks, I'm gonna be pissed!!!
Don't call us an arena anymore. Don't call us nothing but a gym at that point. At that point we're no better than CSU. I cringed hearing Dave say 11,600.

Nope its the correct number unfortunately. I have worked with the project manager before and confirmed the number with him.

It wasn't a mess up. They decided to change some things in the design process that removed more seats.

15,000 was good back in the day but i love this new 11,600 number it's exactly what we need, as we really only average 6-7k per game anyway. but as we roll along i see 10k being the average, need to get over there and soon..lol
