Are there any assistants we're looking at?

Really? That is a letdown if true. I thought Tony Pujol would be a great hire.
Letdown? The guy has been an NBA assistant under George Karl for years. I think he would be a very good coach if he is the mysterious JW.
He has been in the NBA for years. I think we need a college recruiter which Pujol fits. Reading Pujol's bio he fits being a lead recruiter and is a great defensive coach. Seemed like a real nice complement for this staff.
You must've been dreaming with Pujol. No way in hell would we be able to pay him what he's getting paid at Alabama. Sure they're a football school, but they still have money to throw around to other sports. You think being in the NBA hurts?! Are you stupid?! Kids want to go to the NBA and having someone who knows what it's like will b helpful. If this is the hire, I think it's solid.
Did I say being in the NBA hurts? Are you stupid? Point is that being in the NBA doesn't lend itself to being a recruiter. I am not the one that brought up Pujol. Lots of speculation on here but that's okay if you ignored reading the previous posts.

And guess what, Pujol is not at Alabama anymore, left in 2014. He is now an AAU coach in New Jersey. Guess we can probably pay him what he is getting from Alabama.

I don't think it is the Welch guy. Doesn't match up with what others are saying. He has no ties to Edwards and the staff.

Maybe I'm not following close enough, but you're the first person I saw bring Pujol soooooooo yeah. I guess google only led me to his page at Alabama. My bad. Point being, what does being an AAU coach bring to the table? Welch coached some damn good players in the NBA so I don't see how that is a negative. If he can deal with the egos of coaching the likes of Carmelo and Boogie Cousins, I don't think recruiting 18 year olds will be too much of a change.

Pujol coached with Edwards and Jeremy Shyatt already and he has lots of AAU connections to recruits. He would be a great fit to the staff. He already coached in a bigger conference as well as at VCU.

As far as Welch I don't think he would be a bad coach either. Coaching in the NBA for so long and coaching under Tark are a big plus for him. I think both would be good.

Speaking of Wicks. I did a search of Sundance Wicks and I didn't realize that Luke Wicks and Sundance Wicks were coaching together at the University of San Francisco. Either one would be a great addition to the coaching staff! Luke has ties to the Wyo Juco's, or he use to because he coached Sheridan for a while I think. I remember watching Sundance play in High School. He was one of my favorite players to watch in High School. He and Marcus Bailey had one of the best High School basketball games that I can ever remember when Gillette beat East in the Semi's at State. Marcus hit a deep 3 that got called off because his coach had called timeout when he was going up to shoot it. I think that 3 would have tied it or put them up one. I was in 9th grade that year and so my memory of the game is probably different than what actually happened but from what I remember that was the best high school game I have ever seen in Wyoming. :D

Ahh, the beginning of the end for Dale Ward's coaching career at East. Timing is everything!

Hopefully the last assistant will have some Denver recruiting ties. We've mined Denver very well. That needs to continue.

Not any more. Luke is at Pacific (with Jaydee Luster), Sundance is back at their alma mater in South Dakota.

I never knew they had Wyoming ties. I know of both names from their time at Northern, which is one of my alma mater's bigger hoops rivals

Wow coaches change places fast. Yeah both Gillette boys. I do still think either one would be a good addition to the staff.

The future of Cowboy Basketball and their better halves. I am truly excited that Coach Edwards is our guy. It may have happened a lot sooner than expected but we are in good hands.

Brown Paper on the table looks like Altitude but the interior looks different. @Laramie natives, has Altitude remodeled?

Sorry in advance for the totally random question, haha
