Coach continues to talk about how there is more than enough time to recover completely by the start of next season in terms that lead me to believe he does not think anything other than 100% recovery by the start of the season is even a reasonable possibility. I think it seems like player and coach are not on the same page.

Basically, if playing next year means he has to miss 5-6 non-conference games, then I'm all for it. If he has to miss the entire non-conference schedule, then that's not very fair to Nance and he should definitely redshirt.

maybe if he plays limited minutes in those non conference games, just to test it and see where he's at, and then maybe come conference he'll be fully ready...time will tell, it just seems many of our former players seem to rush it and then they are never the same, Ugo and Afam, but to have Larry with a much improved DC (we hope), Riley and Josh and others to compliment and Hank wanting to play it should be a fun exciting year yet again

Now if Riley could be convinced to red-shirt, then in the 2015-16 season there should be a championship, with the younger players having gaining valuable playing time in 2014 and Grabau, Josh, and Larry as seniors leading the 2015 team. Of course, 2014-15 would be, more than likely, a trashed season, but very valuable for the younger players.

Exactly! If he redshirted, that puts him and Adams as seniors together. Killer. Next year would be terrible but the youngins would get needed playing time which would also be a boom for Nance's senior year
