I have to agree with WYO1016 here. I think the CST issued the FOIA request as a fishing expedition in an effort to try to establish some kind of timeline regarding the suspension, and happened to find Blaylock's little golden nugget. It usually takes some time for a paper or whoever to receive the information they requested, so I believe the CST when they say they received the information on Nov. 2. Not sure if there's a time requirement regarding an FOIA, but if I was the university I would have waited until Tuesday when all the election stuff is going on to release the emails and hope the story gets buried with all the election stuff. Of course, the CST could have sat on what they learned a few days, if UW had tried that tactic.

The only one so far as I can see who doesn't need to get down to Walmart to get a brain is the Seattle Cowboy who clearly 'gets it'.

DC has had his issues. Agreed.

That WILL NOT stop me from giving the benefit of the doubt to the coaches, players, and staff as much as possible. I am a fan, first. Monday morning QB, second.

To attack people personally, because of differing opinions? Really? I think we all get a good idea of what people think on this board. That doesn't make one person right over another. We are all keyboard kings opining on issues. You included. Many on here have damn good educations with damn good jobs. Someone disagreeing with you does not constitute them "needing a new brain."

Back off the poeple being optimistic and not wanting everything to be so dam negative. We just came off a win over our rivals, with a touching storyline with the 9 year old boy with cancer, Coach C getting his haircut by Sumter (boosting morale), with three winnable games left and people continue to be unrelenting assholes. It gets old.
 
People on here know dam well that I am not in bed with DC and a HUGE fan. But I like the style he brings compared to coaches in the past. I feel at any given week we can win. Crazy thinking, I know, but the hope is there and that is because of Brett Smith and our Offense. (Coach DC has a lot to take for this).

However, until someone presents a viable, REALISTIC alternative as a head coach, then this whole subject of canning DC is moot.

If any of you have ever listened to Dino's show, you would know that this is his schtick. Try it as an experiment sometime. Call into Dino's show with a realistic argument against whatever position he holds on whatever he is ranting on.

First thing that happens is he starts a new rant on how much of an idiot you are. My concern with dino running a Wyoming Cowboys segment was that his several national listeners would associate his often ridiculous opinions and immature behavior with Wyoming. Luckily, I think he stopped his segment; but I wouldnt know cause I don't waste my time to listen.

But before this gets all Jr Highish on here, you know what I mean.

I really would like to bet you don't know a thing about how to maintain and improve a football program. Any sign of a bad season, and we need to renew the whole program. That's not the way it works. You cannot tell me that this years 2-7 team looks as bad as our 3-9 team just a couple of years ago. I see a massive difference. Yes, the wins haven't come this year, but nonetheless, we are in practically every game.
If we had a year like CSU this year where every game is lost by more than two TD's, yeah, I'd be iffy. If we were Hawaii and were getting blown out practically every week, yeah, I'd say it was a step back. But we're neither. We come to play every game and expect to win. We had our chances against Texas and played really good, Texas didn't finish us off until the very end. Toledo is a complete surprise team this year and have been very lucky. Had we not had so many injuries in the Texas game, I say the outcome would have been far different from a 3 point loss. Cal Poly was practically our third string in a lot of areas playing their first string, and we still almost beat them. Nevada, one of the toughest offense in the nation and we held them in check, for the most part, They were up big on us at one point, and we came back and took the lead. Ensuing issues arose and we lost our leader and inevitably lost the game. AFA, injury was key and inexperience was key in the second half. The weather didn't help us either. But it came down to one play. Fresno and Boise I expected to be tough. I thought if we won it would be close, but if we lost it would be by multiple TD's, and so it was. Now we have some games coming up UNM (turnaround team), but still has quite a few weaknesses. UNLV can play on any given saturday and SDSU has come on late and put in a key win over BSU. But I got to say, I like our chances against any of these teams. And had the ball bounced the other way by an inch we'd be sitting pretty right now.
 
Perhaps if the Trib was interested in real journalism, they would have reported on both sides. Maybe a FOIA request on the AFA. How did this video, shot by AFA personnel, sent to the MWC officials immedately, suddenly show up on YouTube a week later? That did not occur without official approval of someone. Then, as evidenced by the Burman emails, there was some indication that it would come down if DC issued YET ANOTHER apology. And then a few hours after DC does indeed issue YET ANOTHER apology, the video is removed by the Air Force from Youtube. Why did the AirForce Acadamy Athletic Dept decided to declare a public relations war on a very pro-military state? Who authorized that? Why has THIS question never been pursued by the local media? That would, to me, appear to be a MUCH more explosive story. But of course, that does not advance the Trib's vendetta against DC. It would also be actually courageous journalism.
 
Cheypoke is totally right! They got what they were "looking" for.

This board is not Dino's show and we shouldn't put up with it. I move to ban if it keeps up.
