Here's the Trib's story on it.

This is really sad if accurate. And unless Bohl comments on it, I'll believe it is so. How about "we are 100% certain we will not offer a scholarship, but you're welcome to come back as a preferred walk-on"? This sounds like a page out of Christensen's playbook. I've been looking past the performance on the field, with the feeling that at least we don't have another cocksucker coaching the team, and hopefully he'll get it on track. But if this staff is pulling the same amateur bullshit as the previous regime, my patience will align more with ther Beav.

This sounds about right I know for a fact ..they talk down to many of the players and there integrity was questioned at ndsu

FYI, this isn't a Wyoming thing, it's a CFB thing. Montana had 8 kids leave the program yesterday due to "personal reasons."

Agreed. If we were 10-2 instead of 2-10 this wouldn't even be discussed right now.

Uso leaving UW has zero to do with football. Zero. Anyone even remotely "close to the program" would know that. So the drama of the OP is...silly. To put it nicely.

Sorry, just trying to figure out whether I should post here first or go straight to the press. You'll get the story

And you're testing the waters of whether to spill the beans on your experiences from the brain trust on this board?

I'm questioning your judgement already. Talk to someone you trust and sleep on it. Not to the nutsacks on this board.

I originally came to this forum to add some insight into the reasons members of the team are leaving. I chose to keep my mouth shut for a long time because it was only effecting me at the time, I hadn't yet witnessed coach Bohl's change of character with anyone else. I understand that actions have reactions, and I thought that speaking out may put careers at stake. But seeing some of my former teammates being put through similar treatment is leading to me to think that I should speak out.

Well then go ahead and do it! Enough with the posturing...speak.

Wow. This forum is a poop avalanche.

Here is my biggest issue. Some of you are talking out of both sides of your mouth. You are pissed off that Bohl isn't recruiting "good enough kids," yet the coaching staff doesn't offer a mediocre player a scholarship and you are up in frickin arms over it. What if that scholarship was used on a player who isn't a game changer and cost us a solid recruit????? Come on people. You do realize that he future of this team is going to be built upon recruits. Bohl has got some SOLID recruits in here. Yes, they are raw, but they are solid. You whine about Bohl losing, yet he has to cut a player and he is the bad guy. Which do you want? You CAN'T have it both ways. Offering a scholarship because, "Ahhh shucks..he is a solid practice squad guy..." Come on. That is absurd. Does Aaron Young deserve a scholarship? Some on here GRILL that kid, "he doesn't deserve a scholarship" is the battle cry. Yes, here some of you are talking out of both sides of your mouth. If they "cut" him, would you guys be singing the same tune??? If not, that is hypocritical.

I have "inside sources" too on the team and from the 5-6 guys I have heard from PERSONALLY, they have no qualms with Bohl. Zero. Nada. They respect him. One of them said the guys who have issues with Bohl have issues with every one. So, yeah, Sorry Will. Sorry Tristan. Sorry for every walk-on. Sucks. Welcome to life. Many of us on here have lost our jobs...we didn't whine to Twitter. We didn't "make it publicly known." We bucked up and found something else. Life isn't fair. This generation is a sensitive coddled bunch.

So, FWIW, Bohl is the coach. If he cuts someone, so be it. If he is abusing players and such, then, yes, that is BS. He doesn't owe one of us one second of explanation. Even Zach Duval took to Twitter tonight....

Hmmmmm.....interesting. What if there ARE two sides to the story. Be careful Will and his entourage. Some others may have dirt, too. Stop and think...hey, what if it is me?

Then fucking say anything of substance. Good god. You can't even see the damn bush anymore you've beat around it so fucking bad. You sound like a whiny brat. If you've been slighted, talk about it. If not, move on down the road.

Ok here it goes...

I am a former starter who had a number of injuries throughout the last years of my career. Prior to having any injuries Bohl was always very friendly and caring, a player's coach. One of the injuries occurred halfway through the season. The expected recovery time was said to be 4-6 weeks, which I was brought back in 3 due to need on the field. This I didn't have too much of an issue with because it was my last season of football and I wanted to play. The issue occurred weeks later. I received another injury due to overcompensation for the first and was forced to sit out again. This is when Bohl started acting funny..

Long story short I was told I would have to receive season ending surgery. I let Bohl know and I was given a "best wishes" along with a door being slammed in my face. After this I was pretty much banned from the team. I was not allowed to attend any practices or team functions. I was kicked out of the weight room just for being there, and my teammates were told that I was a quitter. The night before our Proday I received a text from an assistant coach stating that coach Bohl said that I can't participate or come watch and support my teammates.

Some of you may call me soft but I highly question this man's character. The first thing Bohl told us was "players don't care about what you know, until they know that you care". I was essentially cut from the team for an injury that I received while trying to play on a preexisting injury. I put my body on the line for this man and was tossed away when I could no longer be used. You may say "that's how it is in the workplace, real world, etc." but a team isn't any of those things

And for some of you who are calling for Bohl's head, have any of you actually played football other than intramurals? Or maybe a Rock Springs PeeWee rec league?

I think Bohl has an uphill battle, no doubt. Enough whining. I want solutions. Solid, realistic solutions as coach. And try and take off your frickin' know-it-all Madden on xbox glasses and provide real coaches. Who could come in here and really succeed? And, heaven forbid, they don't finish 8-4 their first year, that you WOULDN'T be calling for their head? And I don't want any of this, "I don't know" BS. Man up and give a realistic alternative. If you are going to cry, I want solid, definitive solutions with solid rationale why.

Honest to everything sacred, righteous and holy, Urban Meyer would struggle to get to a bowl game for a few years. Why can't some of you grasp this???????????????????/

Thank you for your response. Thank you for your sacrifice for Cowboy football. I would just strongly encourage you to make sure and think of the big picture as well.

Sorry for your misfortune. You (whoever you are), will always be a Cowboy in my book, so thank you. I would just ask that you don't burn down the fort on your way out. It is a lose-lose.

This is a pretty heavy accusation and definitely doesn't sound "typical." Obviously there are two sides to every story, and we don't even know if this one has any truth to it. I know/am aquainted with a few former college athletes whose careers ended similarly (surgery their senior seasons), yet they were never shut away and were even encouraged to keep working out with the team in whatever capacity they could.

I hope you understand why I'm not going to buy 100% into this story since you're an anonymous stranger on a message board on the Internet, but if this indeed happened to you, I'm sorry, and I wish you the best for your future.
