I thought it was very possible KY would win it all but, as I've been telling anyone who would listen, KY is just an excellent team, not the all-time juggernaut some people seemed to think.

Bottom line: KY plays in the SEC. The SEC is very weak. Had KY played in the ACC or Big Ten, they'd have been a 2-5 loss team.

On the other hand, Wisconsin, MSU, Duke, ND, etc., all were tested in about every other conference game. That not only forces them to learn under fire and makes them confront their weaknesses, but it toughens them up.

This is not to say KY was not top-flight. Just that they weren't some sort of superpower.

I just read the back and forth and I have to laugh at him and his coach. First off this Kentucky team was good but they weren't the best ever as they claimed. That 1991 UNLV team would spank this Kentucky team so them making that comment already tells me they don't know wth they are talking about. There were a few other teams that were better than this Kentucky team also.

Also just because you coach high school basketball and play on a college team doesn't make you a complete expert anymore than anyone else. As far as I am concerned until they can make a living off of handicapping sports they are no more an expert than anyone else and none of the commentators or coaches or players are able to do that. Only 5% of the guys who wager can do that. So him and his high school coach can shut the hell up :lol:

I thought when the tournament started there were two teams that could beat Kentucky and those two teams were Virginia and Wisconsin because of the style of basketball both played and sure enough Wisconsin got em. It was basically the same two teams from last years final four and Wisconsin was up on them by two last year until Harrison hit that 3 ball to get Kentucky the win by 1 so I don't see this as that big of an upset really.
