AFA attendance....

I just looked at the interactive ticket map at Gowyo. It looks like there are about 3000 empty seats to choose from. I think if they played the game right now, we're looking at 26,000 at a minimum.

It's only Thursday. If the sales pace keeps up and we have a good walk-up/student crowd, we could be pretty close to a sell-out.

I think we're going to need it every Cowboy fan we can get to beat AFA.

Hopefully, the team won't lay an egg, and will give Wyoming fans a good reason to come back a few more times this year.

The AD sent out an email and as of 5:30 last night there were 4,756 available tickets to the public... The most annoying part is that I know campus doesn't promote athletic events like they should. The campus should be littered with promotional deals to get students to the game or at least make them aware... It is going to be a gorgeous day, a fun game and it is homecoming... can't ask for much more.. I really hope the student side gets filled up

I just counted up the tickets in all the sections not in the student section. It was about 3000. I wonder if they sell some of the student section tickets to the public.

I think they might open them up to the public Friday or Saturday depending on what's left

You would think we'll have a pretty good student turn-out for this team after the Border War beat down. AFA might bring a substantial number of AFA fans as well. They're 4-0.

I agree with your earlier post though. We should be promoting the hell out of this game and actively pushing for the sell-out. Military day, homecoming, 3-2 Wyoming team coming off a thrashing of CSU, 4-0 Air Force team, good weather, saturday afternoon game.

There isn't any reason at all why we shouldn't sell this one out.

We'll be close!!!!! agreed Pokes don't lay an egg or come out flat...ROLL CALL I'm there plus 3 maybe more!

They had a staff special going. $14 tickets and you could buy 4. But I bet they sold out of those already.

Judging by the availability in section A, if they are bringing a substantial amount of fans, they didn't purchase through their own ticket office.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I can't imagine that's all the cadets that are coming for a 4-0 Air Force team. They can worry about filling the rest of A and all of AA, as long as the Wyoming fans work on filling in the rest of the stadium.

You never know. I don't know what their restrictions are for leaving on the weekends. I know some underclassman are barely allowed to leave campus at all during the first year or two. I think a lot of schools in the MW struggle with younger generation road attendance. I am an outlier, but for the most part students and recent grads aren't motivated to go to away games.

Being able to get close to a sell out coming off a 2-10 season and where we've already been waxed by one opponent and lost to the emus just proves once again we're a sleeping giant. If we ever put together a few even decent years we'd have the War averaging 25+k per game. We've really got one of the most loyal & awesome fan bases out there.

After the UC Ringolsby showing - who knows. That was as pathetic as I have seen in Laramie in quite a while - all things considered. I would guess announced attendance right around 25,000, but I guessed 22,000 (I think) for UC Ringolsby, and was off by 4,000.

26,000 me hopes!!!! I'll be a part of it, hopefully y'all can too

To hell with 26,000. We want a sell-out!!

It's too bad the wife and I can't make it, but we'll get down later in the year when the weather is miserable to make up for our missing homecoming.
