I forgot AFA was at 8,400 last year too.
Our attendance has been going up year after year. Just depends on our success.
No one thought we'd fill the arena through the Joby Wright years also, but Shyatt comes in andMcClain come in and we start getting 8 to 10K a game. Even 10 to (16k)!!! Say goodbye to how amazing and loud that was when we beat Utah. Never again, and not because we're bad, but we'd rather renovate and lose seating for suites that a only half ful cause no one wants to pay out for them! Sounds like football, all these games lately that we've sold out, be it Texas, Nebraska, Boise, Virginia, whoever. I was at those games, and honestly 29,086 and 31,117 are not as loud and as intimidating as the pasts stadium capacity filled to overflowing. 34,745! Think of how many times we would have and probably should have hit 35,000 in a 33,500 stadium! There's your money, but because we couldn't fill the stadium in most of the Dimel years, and no one wanted to watch us suck in the Koenning years, and we were avg at best at 20k a game under Glenn ( the occasional sellout...Virginia. We decided to lower the capacity by renovating for better seating and suites (which are always only half full), occasionally full for a big game.
Did our ticket revenue really increase with those suites! Or did we embarrass ourselves by becoming one of the "select" venues that holds under 30,000, all because we want it to look pretty.
