I too, could see where he was coming from. Unfortunately, it blew up in not only his face, but the entire school's face and basically killed the program for the next 20 years. A self imposed death penalty.kansasCowboy said:I've studied Mormonism (not a Mormon), But what I learned was when Satan fell 1/3 of the angels followed, 1/3 continued with Jesus and 1/3 stayed neutral in the decision, God sent them to earth and cursed them with dark skin. They were also cursed to be poor and live hard lives (in the Mid East and Africa. Also to be slaves). This was explained to me by a Mormon Bishop from the SLC Temple. Ha! It makes me laugh to really think about it.
And to this day I continue to support Coach Eaton in his decision to not allow there to be an on the field protest. If I was in his shoes, I'd tell the players that I would not tolerate and on the field protest. I want our sole purpose to be about football and football only on the field. If they wanted to protest to do it off the field and away from the football program.

Sadly everyone in the SEC is doing everything what the SWC was doing in the late 1970s and early 1980s but is getting away with it now!!!!
SMU's Death Penalty destroyed the Southwest Conference.

Wyokie said:I know. When Oklahoma got caught a few years ago with Rhett Bomar getting paid under the table while working a summer job, a lot of people though OU would get hit. All OU got was a slap on the hand.
The NCAA has no balls whatsoever!!!!!!!!!! :brick: :brick: :brick: :brick:

Dude, I have the real story of what happened at Oklahoma, got it first hand from a guy involved.... it wasn't just Bomar... OU should have gotten the death penalty..
