Anyone know what's up with Keelan Cox (The DE transfer from Alabama) and Chase Locke (the WR from USC)? They don't appear to be on Wyoming's official roster. I had high hopes for Keelan considering he came from Alabama. Are they on the Scout team and aren't listed? Or are they just not here? They haven't changed their twitter accounts as both look like they're still Wyoming cowboys, but they haven't posted in a while. Maybe something to look into are ask about

It appears that Keyon Blankenbaker is with Texas Tech now. Not sure if that was out there. Cody's Portal Tracker had him as N/A

Blankenbaker is at TxTech now? I can certainly say that all other things equal, it has to be as easy to recruit someone to Laramie as it is to Lubbock. I just moved to Lubbock a few months ago and the area is an absolute dumphole.

Plus, it's fun to wear Josh Allen shirts/jerseys around because they all think that it's a personal attack on them for trashing Mahomes. Which isn't all that far from the truth...

All other things are not equal. Texas Tech is in the Big 12, has a big and engaged fanbase and pays every player on the team $25,000 minimum.

Right, that's the reason for my qualifier. Based on many of the conversations around here, people seem to like to boil complex things down to "oh, well it's just hard to recruit to Laramie..." There are a million parts to the equation, but the biggest one over the years IMO is that we're mountain west and other places are P5. If we were in a stronger conference than Boise, we'd beat Boise most time we played. After that other things come into play.

I think we could recruit to Laramie very easily. All we have to do is pay every recruit/transfer $50,000 a year and that should be enough to buy a MWC championship. Do I want to see us go down the Texas Texh path? hell no, that’s a colossal waste of money.

We could've paid 100 players 50000 a year for like 8 years for the price of the HAPC, and you guys were all for that! LOL! Now most of you guys want more money for the stadium.

I don't suggest we pay players either, but since most everyone thought the HAPC was gonna buy us a championship, I'll say this. If your gonna buy a championship, maybe think outside the box and do it in the cheapest way possible 🤔

I was for the HAPC and never believed it would deliver a MWC championship. The HAPC is a top notch facility used by all student athletes and we really didn’t have appropriate facilities prior to its construction. The cost to build a similar facility today would be nearly double; strictly speaking from a property perspective, this was a very wise investment.

I am, however, against more money for War Memorial stadium at this time because I don’t believe a clear vision and need for the money has ever been presented. I also don’t believe that proper investigation has been done on how to potentially monetize or further utilize the stadium for other uses outside of football. Spending a lot of money to make the stadium prettier and seats more comfortable for television audiences and fans coming to the game is simply a waste. If the University could show how upgrades to the stadium would be useful and beneficial to students across campus and the Laramie community in general, then I might change my mind; but that hasn’t been demonstrated. Finally and most importantly, I don’t believe the state is in a spot right now to be throwing money around willy nilly with a very uncertain future revenue forecast.

The worst possible use of money is to simply give it to a bunch of 18-23 year olds for the purchase of new cars/trucks, trips to the club and whatever other stupid purchase a young kid is likely to make. I’d rather we just drop football or move to FCS/Division 2/Division 3 before going down that path.

Consistent winning and vying for championships would make our program a lot more attractive for recruiting purposes.
Over paying Bohl for mediocre results hasn't helped our finances any.

Cox has a fractured hip and is out for the year.
