12/5 WYO vs. Cal

That ending is like a kick in the balls. First Adams tweeks his ankle, and the does it again in OT, JJ goes down with a knee injury, and Cal somehow figures out that the ball can go in the hoop.

And why THE f--k weren't they fouling after Cal went up by six with forty seconds left? That was a fundamental screw-up.

Proud of the effort today, they played hard throughout, Adams was terrific, and we saw the future of Justin James a little bit more today. The future of this team is very bright.

Gutty effort by Adams and all of the pokes. We just had too many guys keep getting injured at the end. Adams, JJ, JMac all got hurt.

Not a bad game though for the 4th youngest team in the country. They have already improved leaps and bounds from when they played Fort Lewis.

Think Marshall still must have an ankle problem and Gorski not playing because he is hurt. If we could have had those two play it would have helped.

Washington and Lieberman are decent rec league players, but ...
Washington hit the 3 that helped push that game into OT. He had a bad game ending turnover but Adams missed the FT to win it too. Team effort was great. No need to throw guys under the bus. They played a top 50 team to the nuts.
Good game Pokes :thumb:
Proud of how this team is coming along.

Yeah if Adams hit the free throw we probably win. Can't fault him though he kept us in the game. Look how much we have improved since Fort Lewis. I think by time conference rolls around next month we will be a tough gritty team to play. James and Herndon have improved a lot and Barnes showed improvement today in my opinion even though he still needs to work on finishing at the rim he looked better.

Plus we didn't even have Gorski today really . If he was healthy we may have won also.

That was also right after he tweaked his ankle too. How he was able to keep running after that, I don't know, but he tweaked it again near the end. That shit hurts.

All in all, for such a young team, they played hard and were miles ahead from their first few games. Hopefully JJ's knee isn't serious and Adam's ankle just needs to be iced for a couple days. Bounce back and take out this loss on their next opponent.
