Not sure who is traveling down to Midland to do play-by-play but Varsity has a stream bookmarked for the event. Oct 17 @1pm MT
That was a poor final 5 minutes. Kept pace most of the half. Didn’t score much last 5 including fouling on a made 3 for a 4 point playPokes getting worked in Midland. 43-29 TCU at the half.
Sounds a lot like last year. 15 minutes of decent play with a 5 minute scoring drought that pretty much puts the game out of reach. That was a poor final 5 minutes. Kept pace most of the half. Didn’t score much last 5 including fouling on a made 3 for a 4 point play
TCU won 22 games last season. They lost by 13 (same amount they great us by) to Duke in the tournament last year. They are on par with North Carolina. I personally expected this to end up as a 20 point loss, so I'm pleasantly surprised.A bit bummed after this game. This was a great test to see where we stood, and it didn't go well. It sounded like TCU was just a superior team. TCU would be doing well to even finish near the middle of the Big 12 conference this season.
TCU also has substantially deeper pockets for recruiting and retention. Generally what is considered average recruiting in the B12 would be treated as a decent get at UW.TCU won 22 games last season. I'm guessing that this game was scheduled to show what we needed to work on before we go on the road to Chapel Hill. I'll be sure to ask Sunny about that tomorrow at media day.
