Exhibition: TCU vs Wyoming

Erik Pauley is traveling with the MBB team to Midland and will be on the call. I guess you get the first half of basketball before FB starts up. I can only image the Varsity Network is carrying the MBB game and no radio stations in Wyoming

That was a poor final 5 minutes. Kept pace most of the half. Didn’t score much last 5 including fouling on a made 3 for a 4 point play
Sounds a lot like last year. 15 minutes of decent play with a 5 minute scoring drought that pretty much puts the game out of reach.

Can't have those stretches if you wan't to compete with decent to good teams.

What was the final? I got a notification from gowyo app annd one team had 76 but I clicked the notification and it took me to nothing
Update
89-76

A bit bummed after this game. This was a great test to see where we stood, and it didn't go well. It sounded like TCU was just a superior team. TCU would be doing well to even finish near the middle of the Big 12 conference this season.

I only caught a little of the first half. Based on what little bit I heard, we’ll be fine. Sunny treats these games right and tries out different rotations and combinations. He still coaches them up like they count, but it’s more of a game of opportunity for young guys to get a feel and our return players to get some momentum. They’re still a young team. But there’s talent that will begin to grow each week they compete from here on out.

TCU won 22 games last season. They lost by 13 (same amount they great us by) to Duke in the tournament last year. They are on par with North Carolina. I personally expected this to end up as a 20 point loss, so I'm pleasantly surprised.

I'm guessing that this game was scheduled to show what we needed to work on before we go on the road to Chapel Hill. I'll be sure to ask Sunny about that tomorrow at media day.

TCU also has substantially deeper pockets for recruiting and retention. Generally what is considered average recruiting in the B12 would be treated as a decent get at UW.

I’m thinking Sunny is doing what he needs to do to prepare the program to play its best ball for the MWC.
