Did they pay $49M to move up, or to move sideways?

MWC is collecting exiting penalties, PAC contract violation penalties, and new member entrance fees. PAC is just paying out, and their TV deal doesn't sound all that great.

I don't follow financials for each conference, but I have to think MWC is coming out better on the books.

Wyoming and other left behind schools not named UNLV and Air Force are not coming out better on the books. UNLV is receiving a significant financial windfall.

Time will tell, of course. What will tv ratings be for our new conference? Will fans come out to see us play UTEP instead of Boise St.? Frankly, money aside, it was not a move sideways. This new Pac whatever it is, is a far stronger conference in football. And with Gonzaga in basketball, a guaranteed arena packer and perennial sweet sixteen team.
I just got my sheep ticket. The cheapest ticket is about 100 dollars. There is no way the sheep could charge that kind of dough for anyone other than CU. It galls me that Burman is lining csewe's pockets and robbing us of a home game in the process. We should not play any of the defectors ever, in any sport.

We have talked about Burman's bowing of the knee to the sheep ad nauseam. It is infuriating how he handled this "rivalry", giving away a good home game to travel south and get them out of an ass kicking in Indiana. Then to have the sheep charging double the price of any other game (other than BYU) is a slap to the already red face of every Cowboy fan. What an idiotic move by an inept AD.

Yet, you are going to the game.

PAC came out better, but both the MWC and pac are stuck in purgatory and will merge at some point

IMHO, I honestly think both will start to merge the moment Boise and/or Oregon State gets that invite to the Big 12.

I've followed college realignment ever since Penn State got invited to join the Big 10 to start play in 1991-92 with the football team joining the party in 1993. With that said, I can pretty much figure out what will happen to the PAC Whatever once Boise and/or Oregon State leaves. BUT...I have no idea what will happen to San Diego State & Fresno State. I have a far better shot of understanding women than figuring out what will happen to SDSU and FSU.

I have my doubts on OSU getting invited anywhere else upward.
