I believe Sawvell's strategy is to keep the opponent's offense on the field as long as possible to wear them out. It also keeps our offense fresh and ready for the final two minutes. It is a unique Rocky Balboa-esque type strategy and one that Sawvell and his staff have perfected.

I seriously doubt that Sawvel is going after the same OC candidates as CU.

Watching Texas Tech playing today, I am wondering why UW never uses an air raid offense? They would obviously need a capable quarterback at the helm. I’m thinking at 7220, UW would be able to wear teams out quickly.

The point was to run an offense that makes the best use of the only advantage we have: altitude. Running twice up the middle and then a screen or flare pass does not do that.
