Fire Tom Burman and Fire Jay Sawvel

I listened to the most recent Roaring Repeater podcast. Tucker makes some valid points. First, who are you going to get to replace Sawvel? The sheep are paying Mora 2.4 million his first year and giving him over 5 million for assistant coaches. Is that in our budget?
That is literally the only "defense" of Sawful that makes any sense. I hate it...but it does look like they have thier hands tied.

From 7220 Sports recap, sounds like this was the very message Burman gave. ‘He is confident in Sawvel but massive improvement expected next year.’

Also - wow does Cody at 7220 Sports continuously defend Sawvel. Seemingly Sawvel could do no wrong in his eyes. It’s strange.
It's just the cowardly American 4th Estate. Access is paramount to them, and it's kinda disgusting.

For the longest time I tried to believe he was just playing devil’s advocate, but he does seem to be swinging from those nuts these days.

I don't think Burman's expectations really matter one iota.

His expectations when he hired Sawvel were that Sawvel "not just continue what Bohl built, but take the next step forward". Well, he sure as hell hasn't done that and yet there were absolutely no repercussions.

He then goes on to say that he expects us to win a conference championship next year but admits that, realistically, that probably won't be the case.

The things he was saying in that article were almost laughable. Just complete nonsense.

THANK YOU - now we're just fed the "well, it's not really his fault, it's Bohl's fault, the cupboard was bare"... this is a sickness

PBJ's responses were terrible. Summarizing from my perspective and reading.

"I don't give a shit about fans' opinions, and, oh yeah, we'd lose players if I were fired."

Oh yeah? I'll bet when fans don't show up or open their wallets, you'll start caring what they think and you won 4 games against an absolute shit schedule. I don't think anybody is worrying about losing anyone.

Better answer: "I just appreciate that they continued to show up and support our guys through a tough year. We have a great fanbase. I understand their frustrations and they deserve better results. I thank the university for the opportunity to right the ship and show the fans what we can do. I won't address last season anymore and will focus entirely on getting things rolling to put together a season our players, coaches, university, and fans can be proud of."
