Signing Day / Transfer Portal

Probably not a bad idea, but why not stay and get a good education (paid for)? Instead, you risk it all for the portal that may not answer your call.
Even when he was ‘healthy,’ he was behind Ferrell and Waylee. I’m not convinced that the coaches didn’t have a realistic sit-down with him encouraging him to look for other opportunities. It takes a lot of players leaving to open the spots for all the players Sawvel supposedly intends to bring in.

True, although he was poised to be the starter over Waylee 2 seasons ago. Injuries certainly derailed his career, but I can't help but think he has the skills.

I do wonder what it’s like going through life with no sense of loyalty to anything. Guess I’m just different than most.
Loyalty to what? North Denver? Is it surprising that with the distance between Cheyenne and Cody/Powell that there are little ties between the two? It was a massive mistake to keep the capital in the southeast corner of the state.

As for the University I have been loyal ever since enrolling. There is still a huge distance from Cody/Powell to Laramie. Twice the distance as Lander and the topography adds to the sense and culture of isolation in the Bighorn Basin. You are closer to a number of 4 year schools in Montana, and there is a bigger diversity of Alumni. Doesn't mean people aren't loyal, they just don't have ties to a particular school. Don't think I am not loyal, but my primary loyalties are to God, Family, Church, friends, town, county, state, country and in that order. Government institutions including schools are far down the list. I am not going to dog a player for going where they want to go.

I also find it odd most posters ripping the coaches and AD (justifiable criticism) but are then upset when a Wyoming HS player sees those same problems and takes the opportunity to go to a better coached team.

Loyalty and fan-dom need to be seperated...just brings confusion. You want to talk fan-dom...that is fine but loyalty is a different thing. It's a much higher calling and not well suited to cheering on sports teams, working for a company, or deciding where to go to college.

Should a kid who grows up in Buffalo, NY feel a greater affinity to Canada than the USA because he grew up closer to the capital of Canada, as well as the most important and biggest city in Canada?

Wait, what?

Like it or not, Wyoming is different. I've never experienced a place where the residents have more pride of residency than Wyoming (especially when complaining about "green" license plates). No one cares whether a kid from California stays or goes because there are thousands of "him". Yes, it is different and yes, it would be cool if home-grown talent stayed in Wyoming. So, if Wyoming isn't different (and it always will be) then stop pretending that it is different.

Personally, I love it when Josh Allen shoves that up Fresno State's aXX. "Home grown kid that wanted to stay home...but I wasn't good enough to play for your program."

Just my observation from a distance and from Wisconsin where everyone also thinks a kid should go to UW and is horrified when he signs with Ohio.

Justin Stevenson gone now too. This means Durr will probably be next. Anderson won't have anyone to throw to and we'll suck if we weren't going to suck already

Stevenson leaving has nothing to do with Durr. Stevenson is leaving because "he ain't come to play school". Dude wouldn't have been able to practice in the spring.
