Signing Day / Transfer Portal

I’ll see how it plays out. With all this….i could see myself losing total interest in college athletics. It’s not possible for UW to compete.

Which team will cough up $1mil+ for him this time?

Couldn't beat out a 3-star QB at a MWC school, but I'm sure some NIL collective will be happy to shell out a million or more for all his "potential".

As you indicate, I am sure he will find some team willing to throw $1 million his way. He was the #1 overall prospect 2 years ago.

I wouldn’t want him at Wyoming. A leader isn’t a backup QB who enters the portal a couple weeks before Boise plays a playoff game where it is one injury away from really needing him.

With the limit to 105 on the roster, and Sawvel saying he wanted to sign 35(?!) kids, Sawvel basically said this was coming.

Now, whether we're actually going to get better players ... ? I always take that with a grain of salt - no matter what program you're talking about.
 
The transfer portal just did a number on Marshall football. They opted out of the Independence Bowl (vs. Army) due to a record amount of players entering the portal, mostly the starters. After their HC left to take the Southern Miss job, players decided to hi-tail it now rather than staying for the bowl game. Win the Sun Belt Championship and your reward...no bowl game due to the portal exodus!!!

Rumor is that Cincinnati will play in the game against Army.

I miss the good ole days!!!!!
 
Update on my last post...it's now confirmed that it'll be Louisiana Tech that'll play Army in 2 weeks.

Sad deal. But I guess it is the players who are missing the game they earned. So, sad deal the portal has become.
 
The head coach left for Southern Miss, but it sounds like there was some issue at Marshall where he wanted to stay but couldn't reach a deal with the university. A a result, he got a suitable deal elsewhere. A lot of the players leaving is more of a big middle finger to Marshall than a desire to leave.
