I highly doubt there's much to this. None of the Big X(II) blogs or live chat are talking about it. One of the better sources on the subject, David Ubben, says that the conference is quite a ways from making any of those decisions and are instead focused on keeping Mizzou happy. BYU*'s no play on Sundays rule just won't play in AQ conferences, especially one like the Big X(II) with a private Christian school as a member. They will look for any excuse to vote against adding BYU*. Ironically, it appears the Cougars are giving them another inasmuch as they appear to be headed for a mediocre season at best. Heaps is a bust. I've said it before and I'll say it again- if BYU* turns in mediocre seasons as an independent, their football program will become the most irrelevant BCS program west of the Mississippi.
