In my best Pitino voice "Brett Smith aint walkin' tru that door folks"

Sure wish he stayed :deadhorse1:

you really don't have an appreciation for how bad our O-line is and how good his scrambling abilities are until you watch Brett Smith highlight videos. ACS was similar, Brett is just a batter passer. They rarely stopped running for their lives. Very rarely. We're lucky we went to two bowl games.

well put!!! imagine if we did have an O line to help him out...whew

question.....lack of talent on the line or development? chicken or the egg

On some plays our oline just stops blocking. Aren't they taught to play untill the whistle? Its like they have no clue a blitz might be coming. On another note Wick is one hell of a blocker. He doesnt cut guys, he goes heads up. Pretty impressive.

Yeah, I was pretty impressed with Wick. I think hands down, he'll be the starter going into next year, short of some unforseen problem (knock on wood). The kid can block, catch, and despite having a bad o-line and predictable play calling, he had nearly 1000 yards rushing. He's not a pure speed runningback, though he has good speed. He's also not a pure powerback, despite always pushing the pile. He's a good balance and I look forward to what he can do under Bohl.

With Wick and May coming back, I think we will have a good one, two punch at RB. Then we will have Stover and Tapscott waiting in reserve...then Nevermann and the incoming freshmen...particularly Hill (I think that was his name) that CB was big on.

Yep. Wick is the face of the Wyoming offense. Could be Rufran, but we just don't know what we're going to get out of the QB position.

Yeah. Rufran is a reliable and good reciever. But with the big question mark at QB, hard to say how productive he'll be. Wick though, and May (hard to really say how good he is since he had to sit out due to a broken leg, but he and Wick were often interchanging prior) should give us something on the ground.

I love what Ruffran brings to the team. Such a meticulous player. I felt DC went away from late in the season and I have no clue why. He had 6 tds after the first 5 games and only had 2 more the rest of the season. With Brett gone there will be a lot of carries for our backs. Having May back will help with the load tremendously. Wick should be a 25 carry a game back and he will thrive in this offense. May adds a little more wiggle and im curious to see how he will do in a power based offense. I think hes been a spread back his entire career. Should be an interesting spring and I cant wait to see how certain players adapt to Bohls offense.

I think the players that have the most adapting to do IMO are the OL. Even the ones that were starters last season will need to buy 100% into Bohl's system or we may have a completely new OL. There is going to be a steep learning curve all over the field I think.

I'll say this, if our line is not pushed around at will by the other team, that'll be a big improvement right there.

Agee about the O line. They will be the deciding factor whether we can run a pro style offense succefully. What I cant understand for the life of me, how can we get such a tremendous push against Nebraska yet get our asses handed to us against a Texas St. Team? Thats got to be coaching. When your line regresses over the course of a season what else can it be?

Says video is blocked.

The music companies do that shit all the time when someone uses unauthorized recordings on highlight videos. its getting to the point where future highlight vids are going to have no music at all.

Good, some of the music they use for highlight vids is awful.

If I want music while I watch highlights I can just listen to my own.

May sat out last year with a torn pectoral muscle, not a broken leg.
