I've really only watched since 2003- so my list will be different
What's your list?

1. Larry Nance Jr.
2. Josh Davis
3. Jay Straight
4. Brandon Ewing
5. Leonard Washington
6. Justin Williams
7. Josh Adams
8. Riley Grabu
9. Derek Cooke Jr.
10. Denarious Gilmore

Pretty rough list! Only three I like for top 20 Ewing, Nance, & Davis. Justin Williams is on the cusp. Brad Jones needs to be up there with Ewing.

You can't leave off Ratliff, Leckner, Baily, Slater, & Sailors.

Biggest miss on the list is Dembo, greatest of all time!

#1 Fennis Dembo
#2 Kenny Sailors
#3 Flynn Robinson
#4 Bill Garnett
#5 Eric Leckner
#6 Larry Nance
#7 Reggie Slater
#8 Theo Ratliff
#9 Brandon Ewing
#10 Marcus Bailey

I Just threw that together real fast off the top of my head. My top 5 are pretty much staying as is but the last 5 i could see changing somewhat if i looked up some more teams. I am sure I am leaving someone off the list that I am not thinking of right now.

Dembo is the clear #1 and I could see moving Bill Garnett up actually as well.

Josh Davis has to be in there, and Charles (Tub) Bradley has to be top five. Hell, there has to be a Turk Boyd or Jon Summers in there too... great defensive stars.

Yeah i can't believe i forgot Charles (Tub) Bradley. I thought about him this morning when i was thinking about this again. Josh Davis would be in consideration to be on this list also. In order to make a top ten some of these guys would be left off the list. I would have to look at all of their stats and won /loss records and how important they were to their teams and start comparing to come up with the last 5. The top 5 I am pretty secure with. While Turk Boyd and Jon Summers were good role players on those mid to late Eighties teams I wouldn't put them on the top 10 best all around players list.

Not one mention of Mike Jackson? Possibly the most talented guard we've ever seen at Wyoming. Went head to head with Danny Ainge and Sleepy Floyd. He would be in my top 5
Cowboys along with Garnett, Dembo, Bradley, and Ratliff. Slater, Lechner, Ewing, Bailey, and Josh Davis round out the top 10.

It's hard to put Nance on the list. Last year was his breakout year and he got injured before the season ended.
Having said that, he's looking dominant right now. If he stays injury free, it's going to be a great ride this season.

Honorable mention goes to Tim Breaux. He was an amazing athlete and a treat to watch. He Also played a few years in the NBA

UW did an "All Century" team about 10 years ago (http://www.gowyo.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/121604aab.html. That's a good place to start. The only players since then that would be in the conversation are Ewing and Nance.

Now, my personal list would be a little different since the first teams I was old enough to watch were the Dembo/Leckner teams so the Top 10 that I have watched will be different. The top 8 for me are easy:

Fennis Dembo
Eric Leckner
Reggie Slater
Theo Ratliff
Marcus Bailey
Josh Davis
Brandon Ewing
Larry Nance, Jr.

Not sure after that. A lot of good options:

Tim Breaux
Jeron Roberts
Jay Straight
Uche
Justin Williams
Brad Jones
Pre-injury versions of Ugo and Afam
Etc.

If Mike Jackson aka  "The White Tornado" isn't on your list you don't know Wyo basketball.

All of these guys could fit into a top 10 list:

Flynn Robinson
Tub Bradley
Bill Garnett
Fennis Dembo
Eric Leckner
Theo Ratliff
Reggie Slater
Josh Davis
Marcus Bailey
Brandon Ewing
Larry Nance, Jr.

(Special considerations to Mr. Kenny Sailors.)

I remember we had a similar discussion a while back.

Think this is the link to it.
