Then tell me where the press is that covers this school's football team?
You may peruse myriad newspapers across the country who cover other programs -- many of them with reporters and or columnists who will write feature stories after numerous losses and debacles pointing out flaws or expressing contempt or disgust with what they have witnessed on the field of play.
Often times these stories reflect the heartbeat of the fan base -- with writers who have their finger firmly on the pulse of the situation...many of these other institutions insist on a level of performance that is acceptable, often times because they know that anything less is to be skewered happily in the newspapers the following day.
How nice it must be to be the WYO athletic department and never have to deal with real criticism in the newspapers...talk about a cozy daily existence with no fear of being called out for lack of performance on multiple levels?
The critical thinking on behalf of a host of individuals here on this site far-far exceeds that of the newspapers in our state who ask you and I to subscribe to their offerings (and I am a subscriber) each and every day -- as a member of the media I find this incredibly pathetic.
When Wyoming football has more of a concern with what is written on a message board than what is written by those around the program and covering the team on a regular basis...then is there really anything for them to worry about?
Objectively now...has this season been placed within its proper context by the Casper Star-Tribune or the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle even a single time this season after a single game...or after the debacle in Fresno last night?
Easy come...easy go.
We all deserve more.
