For a second I thought the thread was a complete fraud when it was mentioned that someone went to college with a bunch of Upton Bobcats, then I realized you must have meant that you caught a ride with them to a college after your car broke down along a vacant highway. I'm sure that none of them could qualify to actually attend a college, although I do recall a couple of brothers named Douglas that almost made it into beauty school...almost.

I love my hometown, that's why I moved back. I thought the Gillette/CC BS was put to bed years ago, the Events Center sucks, I can drive to Laramie with my eyes closed (and I do understand that 150 to Laramie < 280 to Denver), Im not a baseball guy, who gives a shit about what number is first on a license plate (they're all followed by Steamboat, so same team amiright?), and do we not have UW-CC? Had several friends get their bachelor's from UW while in Casper. Seems to be an amicable relationship between the 2 institutions.

Anyone with a brain knows Casper wasn't considered for anything because we were north of the railroad.

That being said, fuck Evanston.

Was I being defensive? I said the giant Pizza Hut on the hill sucked, who gives a a shit about Gillette HS athletics, the number on the plate makes no difference, etc.

I would come up with something back but...you're right. There's only a quarter of my class that went to college, and that's about average. That said, If what I heard was true, the younger of the Douglas's you mentioned got kicked out for beating the shit out of his roommate, Douglas was on a wrestling schollie to some D2 school

To be fair, Casper would make a hundred times more sense than Lander...and Gillette is big enough it should have 2 schools...just throwin that out there haha

To be fair, Gillette is headed toward 2 high schools while Casper pulled a bait-and-switch and will keep the two teams intact while having kids from both schools drive back and forth between two sites. NCHS is as big as Gillette and KW is bigger than everyone except NCHS, Gillette and Rock Springs.

I agree regarding the Capitol, etc. At least Casper has serious water nearby.
