Good god.....just because one guy is acting like a nut job doesn't mean all NDSU fans are like that. Do I think Bohl handled his departure at NDSU well? No, I have heard way too much about issues at NDSU after Bohl had committed to Wyoming. It certainly has taken some of the glow off his reputation at NDSU. But.....so what. NDSU got who they wanted as a replacement and it seems like the new coach got exactly who he wanted for assistants. It looks to be a fun year next year. I think the Bison fans have moved on, but still many are not to happy about Bohls last month at NDSU.

If Bohl meets with success here at WYO, it will be interesting to see what he does should Nebraska opens up and he gets an offer from there. My guess is that what he is looking at long term. Kind of a vindication for his career after being used as a scapegoat and being fired by Solich.

That in itself makes me roll my eyes. Good God! In that last month he won a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, and his new employer let him do it with their encouragement. Now I know the Bison fans are spoiled rotten. Geesh!

I call bullshit on that. He was allowed to coach NDSU through the FCS playoffs (an additional month or so)...and was more than welcomed and thanked by NDSU to do so.

Any real / decent FBS program (with an AD who has balls) would have demanded he cut ties at the current job, and begin the new job immediately.

Call bullshit all you want.....the bottom line is having him coach NDSU through the title was not at all beneficial to NDSU......it was only beneficial to Bohl. You have no clue about what was going on in Fargo. You are right.......he should have left Fargo immediately.

The 2 basically worked through the next 2-3 weeks biting their lips.
Obviously there was a practice or 2 missed by bohl and these posters are making a mountain out of a molehill.


Bottom line there was no easy way to do this and ndsu won a title and wyoming got 5-6 commits. Win Win

I would like to, but tickets will be tough to come by and it is a bitch of a drive. If I see the Griz play it may well be in Laramie unless I go see NDSU at Iowa State. That is also another horrible drive that includes crossing Nebraska......ugh.

I don't think they were small by any means. It was a shit show in the Football offices. Bohl only hung around to get his bonus money and to try an snag some recruits he had originally contacted on behalf of NDSU.

There's a 3 day lapse between Saturday night bohl announcement (he agreed with wyo ad that friday) then AD gene Taylor talked to Vigen & Klieman that monday. So ndsu had no clue this was to happen. Then klieman didn't come with bohl after that and it made bohl break his promise to wyo AD.

So Yea he was pissed, but give me a break they COACHED the team to a title. It's over. Moveon.org

I've seen nothing entertaining with "faux's" drivel. The creativity is FCS-level weak. Bohl and his current coaching staff obviously have a much different opinion and that's all that matters. They're ALL excited to be in Laramie. Bohl has mentioned on numerous occasions what type of job he'd be interested in. Wyoming fit the bill. Maybe you missed that part. Again, I'd be spending my valuable time breaking down film on South Dakota and South Dakota State rather than lurking on this site throwing out snide remarks, if I were you.

Titleist isn't slamming NDSU as a Cowboy fan. He's slamming NDSU as a WYO Cowboys/ Montana Grizzly fan. And out of what I've heard, that's a pretty good rival. Not to mention the arrogance he sees with your fan base to begin with (just like we do with CSU or BYU), but we get his Griz's rival coach and now he sees something stupidly done by a supposed , hurt NDSU fan against his Cowboys.

I'd say that's about it in a nutshell. But feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

They are just angry because they don't see UW as being the next step. Of course, they are wrong. FCS is JV football. Just because you're good at it, doesn't mean you are more relavent than a program who just bought your coach for much more money than you could have paid.

In this case, relavency was proven in the form of a big fat paycheck that the University of Agriculture and Applied Science could not pay. Yeah, UND couldn't pay it either. That's the way it is. It's not that their program isnt' good. It's just not at this level. Where the Pokes have been since...forever. Where Fargo U/UND/USD/SDSU hid in D-II for so many years, schools like Wyoming played with the big boys. Tenemos huevos en Laramie. Up until a few short years ago, they lacked them in Fargo, Grand Forks, Brookings and Vermillion. (Except in hockey at UND...where they have played D-I and won real championships...)

I repeat. I wish Craig Bohl well. I am glad he stayed until the championship game. It also seems that he lived up to his end of the exit deal as none of NDSU verbals ended up on Wyoming recruiting list. If he did some Wyoming business on NDSU's dime, all I can say is whatever. I hope he gets into the Bison Hall of Fame. He has earned it.

Back on topic, how is fauxCB's twitter not just good old fashioned smack talk? I thought the part about Laramie smelling like a turd was funny. Apparently faux has not been in Fargo during fall sugar beet harvest/processing. For being big-time football, sure seems like some of the Wyoming fans are pretty thin-skinned.

You will note that it was a Cowboy fan that brought faux's twitter on to this board. You would have thought that Mr. Butthurt, as a moderator, would have brought it up in the smack talk section instead of the main football discussion board.

I hope the Bison get to play the Cowboys in the next couple years.
