WyoNation Bracketology: Week 5

blogtitle.webp

One of the best college football games of the season might have happened this past weekend as Georgia went to Alabama for a battle of the top teams in the SEC. The Crimson Tide pulled out to a huge first half lead and the game looked over. However, Georgia came storming back in the second half and looked as though they were going to beat the Tide in their own home. However, a ridiculous circus catch and run from Ryan Williams for 75 yards put the game away for the Tide.

Another chaos type match-up involved Arizona beating Utah badly in their own home. This effectively knocked Utah off the top of the perch in the Big 12 to allow Kansas State to take their spot at the top after the Wildcats beat Oklahoma State. Miami pulled off a close game against Virginia Tech to keep their spot at the top of the ACC. Another big upset happened with Kentucky beating Ole Miss in Oxford.

USC looked left for dead after being down 21-10 at home to Wisconsin, however, the Trojans came back to go 28 unanswered to beat the Badgers. The game I attended, Notre Dame and Louisville in South Bend ended with an Irish win. In case you're wondering, I put in a live bet in the first quarter to hit the 65.5 O/U... it did not hit. Louisville tried hard to win me some cash, but it wasn't meant to be.

Onto the rankings!
