We've been putting in a lot of work behind the scenes to expand our basketball coverage this year. Along with the previously posted KenPom interview, we've got 7 interviews coming from media day. I'll post them all here to keep them in one place.

Also, I want to apologize again for not getting the interviews from last year posted. My mics were picking up the basketballs bouncing in the background better than they were picking up the voices of myself and the people I was interviewing. I bought better mics this year so that won't be an issue going foward.

This is a passion project for me, and I do it for you all. If there are any players you want to hear from, any questions you'd like answered, or any information you want me to try and get please let me know! I will do my best to do anything you guys ask for!

I am not nearly as high on the basketball team as most on this board. The exhibitions have done little to change my mind.

Yes, we were experimenting with rotations and a lot more players were seeing the floor than will once conference season rolls around. I get that. But something still seems to be missing from this team. I see us finishing in 6th or 7th spot. Thats just not good enough.

Can’t say I necessarily blame Wicks. We need more money in the program. Unfortunately for basketball, it appears we intend to send most of our funds to the football team.

What we're missing at the moment is killer instinct. Sunny has openly said we've got a team full of golden retrievers and no pitbulls. Hopefully someone steps into that role sooner rather than later.

We are missing that.

We are also missing top level talent. Naz is good (most of the time). Bennett is capable. Gores has upside.

Outside of those three players, I just don't think we have the talent we need to be competing for the top of the conference. Despite all the improvement Summers supposedly made over the off-season, he still looks slow, out-of-shape, and overmatched for this level. None of the new guys have looked good at all. I'm just really struggling to see the improvement that everyone was so sure would come this season.
