COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -
Mitch Unrein (Wyoming), Chad Hall (Air Force) and Louie Sakoda (Utah) are Mountain West Conference Football Players of the Week for games through Oct. 6. Hall earns the Offensive Player of the Week honor, while Unrein garners the Defensive Player award and Sakoda receives Special Teams recognition. Sakoda earns his fifth career player of the week honor and the second of the season. Hall and Unrein are first-time honorees.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mitch Unrein, WYOMING
Sophomore, Defensive End, Eaton, Colo./Eaton
Unrein recorded a career-high seven tackles (three solo), including one sack for nine yards and two tackles for losses of 12 yards. He also forced one fumble as the Wyoming defense held TCU to only 134 yards rushing in the 24-21 win.
