How can a poke fan not admire this team's Rocky Balboa-esque ability to pick themselves up after continuous devastating losses and come out swinging as an improved, gung ho team each week? This young team has some pretty good leadership tucked away somewhere.

Man, I'm all for being a homer, but thinking this team is Top 25 material except for a couple of bad breaks is insanity. I'll come back when we are 1-8 and you are in here telling us how we would be a top 25 team if it weren't for those darn eight losses.

My biggest beef currently is the coaching just leaves me scratching my head sometimes. Doesn't mean they ARE BAD COACHES. Just that I am confused on what adjustments or lack of we are making.

BeaverPoke is defending his boy, which is great, because he obviously is the engine that drives this train. It's not the coaching staff providing leadership. We've had tough losses, but I don't think we're even the best 1-5 team. I'll give that title to Auburn, if they want it. Could we be 5-1 or 4-2 right now with a little luck, maybe so. But look at it from the other side, we had to take maybe the worse FBS team to OT before we pulled off a win. We could just as easy be 0-6 right now! Since DC took over we have 4 victories over FBS teams that had winning records. The past 12 games (a regular season), we're 4-8, with 3 of the wins coming against CSU, New Mexico and Idaho, all pretty shit teams. The 4th win vs Air Force was probably DCs signature win, as it was a victory vs a winning (7-6) team that was by more than a touchdown (8 points). That pretty much sums up what we have here, a program whose most decisive win in 4 years was an 8 point victory over a team that was one game over .500. Let's order the champagne now! Can you say another contract extension, why not?
