Or at least a power run. Instead, we have Valladay go on a designed outside run, something we rarely call? Maybe if it was Conway, I'd feel better about the outside run, but not this time.

Actually agree w/the call as well... The problem is there is one guy in offense that Utah State is watching.... And its Valladay. If it's him we need it to be North/South.

Yep, it sure looked like he almost had the first down where the ball was when his knees came down. Instead it was spotted over a yard short.

I agree. Sneak would have been hard for the full yard with tvw, and if that'd been stuffed we would have all been saying why always run up the middle. I can't fault that play call at least it was something different. Overall the play-calling in the first quarter has been much better then usual
