The way I am looking at it who needs studying theres a basketball game to go to!

You can do both. Take a book to the game. Study the material when OPS is on offense. Watch game when Pokes on offense.

I may be strange, but I actually prefer to watch the Pokes on D...because, this is a heckuva defensive team!

I'll always love the raw run and gun style they played with from previous coaches and the 100 point games but I have to admit it's a thing of beauty to see a defensive clamp down and game control. Anyone can just put up obscure numbers every game while the opposing team does the same but watching the Cowboys defense this and last year has been a hell of a treat.

especially with the way we're winning, if you can't rally around this team, then you've truly got a problem, I understand finals and the pressure that comes with that, don't want to relive those years....but take the time fill the AA and have fun then focus on tasks at hand next week. Sure it isn't Duke or UNC coming in, but our guys deserve all the support they can get. Send them off to their final break feeling good, willing to work hard there as well, so we don't have any problems in that aspect as well......This team is so fun to watch if you are in Laramie on saturday looking for something to do, it's right there people......LOVE THIS TEAM!!! GO POKES

Lol trust me I want to go. No one wants to go sit in COE while their is a game on.

Me too! If you aren't watching them on D you are missing a heckuva defensive display

Nothing better than their full court press watching them basically give the ball to Luke, then the easy pass for the Nance dunk!

Coe is a nice library. There is always a good amount of students in there studying. It's funny, all the freshman that only go to just hang out and flirt with eachother take up the bottom floor and it's loud, while the people who are actually moving towards a degree go up stairs and get away from people.

This is a game I'm hoping the Pokes can put away early and get some rest for the starters who have played a ton of minutes in the last few games.

Oklahoma Panhandle State was picked to finish dead last in the eight team Heartland Conference. The Aggies are the 2nd Division II opponent the Cowboys will face this season (Western State being the other).

Player to Watch: #5 Damar Hill - The Aggies lack a dominant playmaker, but Hill is as close they get. He is a 5'9 senior guard who runs the show for the Aggies. A very good jumpshooter, he will have to rely heavily on his outside shot in this game. At only 5'9 he will have difficulty finishing inside against our bigs. Derrious Gilmore should have no problem shutting this guy down, and I'm hoping to see Shyatt dial up some heavy pressure from the get go. I think Hill, and the Aggies in general, are prone to TO's if we put some heavy pressure on them.

The talent gap in this game is the largest we will see all season. I'll be looking for the Cowboys to come out strong and never leave any doubt against an opponent who is vastly outmatched in the talent department.

This is a good game to have after just beating two very good teams in a row. This will be a good breather and a chance to run some different things and get some of the bench players some good minutes to add more depth to this team.

i like this idea!!!!

I wanna see Adams play almost the entire game, and have Gilmore be on the bench a lot. I hope Grabau can get some time but IDK because of his injury obviously. Grabau getting some time would help him get back into the groove of things. Can McManamen play significant minutes in this game and not have a red shirt get burned?

I wanna see Nance play about 10 minutes then Cooke be forced to go all out for 30 minutes. Make Coach Shyatt get him in shape

McManamen has already burned the redshirt, so I definitely expect him to see some significant minutes in this game, along with Sellers, Haldorson, Bentz, and Sobey.

Not sure about Grabau. Probably best to hold him out to give him more time to heal, since we should be able to handle OPSU without him.

McManamen has played 27 minutes all season, are you sure he has burned the red shirt? What's the limit?

The NCAA says that once you step onto the court and play a minute you lose your redshirt. It said that you can have a medical redshirt in the case that you get hurt in the first half of the season and don't play in more than 20% of the games. So he has lost his redshirt this year.

I would personally like Grabau to not play at all this game and give him some time to rest up he needs to get better so we can rely on him for conference play and we don't need him in this game. I would also like to see large minutes at least 20-25 minimum for Sobey Cooke McManaman (probably spelled that wrong) and Haldorson as they all need time to develop and what better than to see the court.

You can play a little bit I'm pretty sure. That's why Wadell payed 5 years here. Or did he get injured his true freshman season?

I am not sure I personally thought it was a certain percent or something and no conference games and you could still redshirt, but that information was what I got when I looked it up on the NCAA website.

I remember last year

our team struggled against NAIA school University of Sixous Falls

We won but I worried about outcome during the game.

Cowboys definitely shouldn't take them easy

Shyatt will coach this team properly all year long and I don't think he will take any team lightly.

I think NCAA granted Waddell medical red shirt.

U will confirm it in Waddell's profile on the school site.
