Wyoming vs. Knights thread.

Adams looks like a MWC starter for sure. I'm a little worried about our rebounding. Same old story on the boards for the most part.
 
I was a little skeptical when Edwards brought out the Josh Adams comparisons, but after watching him I can definitely see it. He's much longer than Josh too, which will be nice on defense.
 
We still look pretty sketchy in areas. Our pg situation could be a major issue. Our bigs should be better this year no matter what happens. They can't get worse then last year imo. As other have said though, can't really take this game with much weight. Very loose environment.
 
Adams played well. He does a lot of dirty work. He looks like he has potential to be a lock down defender by the time he leaves Laramie. I can see him stepping right into the rotation at guard this year.

It looks like we're a better rebounding team than we we're last year. It's early still, but we looked better at cleaning the glass.

The summer league is good for the walk-ons and the new players. With suspensions to James and Dalton, it's a good chance for Kelly to get minutes at guard and Mueller to get minutes at the four. Kelly struggled early, but settled down and closed the game strong.

Lieberman played well when he was in there. I'm guessing he picked up a little injury. He didn't play at all the second half.

Nice comeback win. I think we could have won easier if we weren't trying to get everyone playing time but I like the opportunity to see all the players play. Adams looks legit. that is great. He will fit right into the system. Jmac looks like he hasn't missed a beat. I like the more uptempo approach but they have to be careful not to just start jacking up shots and still look for a better shot. I saw times we moved the ball great and got wide open looks and other times we didn't. they will get that balance figured out by the time the season gets here. Can't wait to watch the game tonight.
 
I like speeding up, too...but they still need to have patience and look for make better shot opportunities. There is no reason that we should make one pass and have Herndon take a contested 3 when 2 of our players haven't even made it down court yet. That particular brick was frustrating.
