Wyoming vs Illinois State

Hot damn that was one of the best comebacks of Wyo basketball I believe I've ever seen. Shy knows his players, knows how to coach thru adversity. Just a great win and congrats to the players and to this outstanding staff. Endeavor to preserver!

I can understand why people thought at the half we were done, But a win like this coming back from being down should start to build that confidence back for fans.

Didn't we have a similar game against BYU at home under McClain? If I remember correctly we were down by 15-20 at the half and ended up coming all the way back for the win.

I get why that we wouldn't give up at half time but what really gets me is that we were down 19 in the second half and still won by 14.

What a crazy in game adjustment.

Another thing this kind of win does is it gives the players confidence they can come back from being down by any amount to anyone. We won't be out of any game the rest of this year I don't believe. This is a bigger win than most realize. That was a damn good senior led Illinois St. team with 2 future NBA players on it that we came back and beat on the road. Just unbelievable. We can play with almost anyone this year.

Any chance we get ranked in the 25-30 range after this?

Yes. UW already got some votes few days ago. As long as they take care of business this week, the Pokes are looking at a Top 25. AWESOME!!!

two areas of concern for tonights game for me. if we can have improvement in both areas, I see us winning by 7-10 points.

1. Free Throws: Cowboys need to shoot at least 70% tonight. if the game is tight in the last 5 minutes, and it should be... we have to have a better night from the charity line.

2. Shooting Guard Play: Watching Riley against colorado was tough. My heart went out to him... im sure he told coach that he wanted to give it a shot. But he was a liability on the floor. the buffs kept feeding the ball to the guy that riley was covering, trying to drive to the bucket around his injury... I don't think riley plays tonight, at all, and if he does he wont be at full capacity. So how then will adams and sobey play? adams had a very solid night against the buffs... will it continue, or will a road challenge be a little over his head?

adams has the ability to blow by anybody, he's like a two year old thoroughbred colt. ive noticed that he has a knack for jumping passes around the top of the key for steals. he's hard to beat laterally... but he's chippy and will over-commit and hand check at times defensivly

turn-overs and clock management will be huge tonight. I like our bigs against anybody. hopefully nance isn't too sick to perform. there is a huge dropoff from nance to halderson. we need larry on the floor.

god damn... didn't know id be this spot on, minus the extra 4 points we scored over my predicted finish. thank god our team has the ability to limit mistakes and capitilize on miscues. loved watching this game. I knew at half we still had a chance, the only reason they built that lead was on "luck" three point shooting... which wouldn't last.

Not sure we get to the top 25, but it should be close so long as we pound Oklahoma State Panhandle. If we win by less than 10 it doesn't help us at all. We need to follow up two HUGE wins with a blowout of a team we should blowout. There are still several teams ahead of us, somebody has to lose or the Pokes have to impress the voters to take votes away from other teams.

Bingo. As long as we don't get cocky. We listen to Shy and keep fighting each and every game we are dangerous. I LOVE it.

BYU will be begging to come back the MWC

Listened to Dave and Kevin from start to finish, did not have the TV on, was totally dedicated to this one. when they hit those 6 3's in a row, i thought, here comes the blowout and being down 14 at half, I was like there's a shot(slim at best), then when we went down 19 with 17 left, I almost turned it off, but something told me to hang in there, MAN AM I GLAD I DID. you could hear the fans in the arena just collapse, and Luke's 9 steals what a stud. and to play the major 5 that many minutes. MAN OH MAN, WHAT A GAME. I've been listening to Pokes bball since i was 12 during the Bill Garnett years, and I cannot remember a comeback, esp on the road that great. 9-0 baby, I'm a truly happy to be a Wyoming basketball fan, Love Coach Shyatt and all he stands for, we may be legit, but like alot of people are saying, the team that wins the conference may have 3 or 4 losses.....MAN is it going to be a fun year....buckle up here we go!!!! AWESOME

Was my dad right saying this was a Dave Hall officiated game? Good lord things are looking up. Big comeback from 19 while Dave Hall was on the floor.
