There was times I wish he had ran the offense instead of blowing past his defender for a layup

What...? Cant tell if this is serious or tongue in cheek.... Why would you ever wish a team slow it down and run the offense which only heightens the chance of a missed shot, turnover, etc instead of getting high percentage shots.... If he can get to the rim consistently and score easy buckets why would we discourage that....

I think his point was that it doesn't do much good to blow past a high school kid for a layup during an exhibition, and instead it might have been better for the team to run some more set plays to help with our long run development.

Bingo. But that's because we actually know stuff about basketball. We were up by thirty and I think he took his man off the dribble twice for easy layups. I don't see that as being all too productive. League time? Hell yes, take that every time until they put someone in that can cover you.

After the these two games it's clear Gorski plays too passively, get's easily taken out of his game, prone to turn overs and is turning into a spot up shooter only. To think, I had high hopes for him too.

The team we played the night before was made up of older semi-professional players that had all played college ball at some level (D2, JC, etc.). The guy that torched us the most (Bain) put up big JC stats and was a pretty good D2 player and is probably about 25 now. That team had also played Missouri State (a potential opponent for the Pokes this year in Vegas) to within 1 last week I believe.

Agreed. I still have high hopes for Gorski, but he's definitely in need of these bonus summer practices he got. He doesn't look good.

I feel confident in the guard rotation. We've got Leebs, Adams, and James. They'll make the rotation. I think you could shift McManimal over to 2 guard as well. We've got some guys in there that are going to be pretty difficult for people to match up with.

Marshall and Gorski have me worried. They have a lot of improving to do this summer if they plan on playing next year. I'm confident Gorski will make those improvements. Marshall......I'm not so sure. If Cody Kelley could reel in the turnovers, I would prefer him to play over the Gorski/Marshall we're seeing right now. I guess the competition is on for Gorski, Marshall, and the walk-ons to see if they can force their way into the guard rotation. Right now it looks like a safe bet that Adams, James, and Leebs are safely in it.

The post almost looks set in stone this summer. Dalton is a good player. He'll make the rotation with Moemeka, Naughton, and Herndon. I don't have much hope for Barnes, but he is great defensive insurance for any game where we match up with a big physical post. He comes in really handy then. I think Mueller will redshirt. The post looks very likely that it will end up Naughton, Herndon, Moemeka, and Dalton(if he can get his shit together). We'll see if Barnes can force his way into more of a roll than being the big defensive insurance for teams with deep, big posts.

Right now my safe bets for the "Nine" man rotation:

Leebs
Adams
James
Mcmanimal
Naughton
Herndon
Moemeka
Dalton

I would be more surprised if we have a nine man rotation during conference play next year than if Gorski, Marshall, Cody Kelley, Sam Averbuck, or Johnathan Barnes make the rotation.

I'm guessing those eight players will get minutes. Hopefully they'll stay healthy/out of trouble to have the opportunity to play.
