Wyoming vs Eastern Washington

They shot the ball extremely well from 3. Us, not so much... Can't win when the opposing team shoots 48 percent from 3 and makes 14 of them. My chin is still up, but could be a major roller coaster year. Desperately need a 3 point shooter! Gorski ain't the guy

Usually when you need a foul, they give you one pretty easy. I'm surprised we got the steal there

This is not a great win. We should have won this early and not looked back. Fact is, they pulled this win out of their ass against a Big Sky team that will not contend for their conference title. Sloppy play, no set offensive schemes, and questionable coaching. These guys are playing "pick-up" ball with little to no direction....

I'm happy we escaped with a win but starting to get worried about the start of conference play. Hopefully we can learn from this and get our schlit together.

Completely agree....Not many ways to use this game as a yardstick and feel good about where the team is at. I didn't like the way the team played last year but withheld judgement on Edwards to give him some time. There just seems to be so little discipline, grit, backbone...whatever you want to call it. I believe it comes from the top...great coaches instill some sort of style that the team can wrap itself around and make the whole greater than merely the sum of its parts. It seems like Edwards style is to roll the ball out and see what happens. I know there are those who are not big Larry Shyatt fans but he knew what he wanted to do and his teams did it.

Basketball is pretty tough to win big year in year out, without a recruiting pipeline that Wyo has never really had...so even the good coaches are at the whims of talent level. I appreciated the commitment to defense and ball control that Shyatt's lesser talented teams had....
