I think we will have an idea of what our chances are after this weekend. Utah is most likely way better than Colorado this year. I just don't know if either of our games this year (Akromonious as they are referred to each week on the Bottom 10 and an FCS school) give us much indication of future performances aside from we didn't lose to our FCS opponent this year.
 
They gave Deion a multi year extension at roughly 7-8 million a year. Who knows what their NIL is. And yet, they can't run the ball, they can't stop the run, and their qb is nothing to fear. He was throwing behind receivers and has limited running ability. In the 3d qtr, Houston had the ball for about 12 minutes. It's year 3 and it looks like the prediction that CU will be 10th in the Big 12 appears accurate. Boulder fans are not hardcore. Those sellouts are going to end quickly.
 
He clearly loaded up for Shedeur and Travis' senior years. And who would blame him?

Now he has a two year project to get back into the conference conversation.
 
We are +13.5 in this game. Pathetic. This is an awful CU team. But honestly, I could see us getting blown out again. I don't know what it is, but every time I listen to a Sawvel presser, I start to worry that he doesn't know what he's doing.

I don't think buffs score enough to beat POKES by 14 if POKES score 10+.

I think Aaron Bohl has done well as DC this year. The OC play calling is fine but so many dropped passes or poor throws from the QB.

We should be focusing on Tripodi as the OL coach. That group has greatly underperformed this year. The point of attack is the OL or DL and the OL is by far the weakest group on the team 3 games in
 
I really blame the scheme for the Oline problems. We went from a power run with a lead blocker with coach Bohl to everything zone blocking stretch plays to the outside with Johnson. Our oline was built to block downhill, not move sideways and block a zone. They aren't athletic enough to block this way. They are big. I think our Oline was bigger than Utah's Oline or close to it. We have a 230lb back and big oline and we run stretch plays to the outside all day?? I felt like we could have moved them with a downhill running game. I think teams that have a downhill running scheme will beat Utah. Not a lot of teams do that in today's game though.

Also, we ran 3 play action passes before we even ran the ball 2 times? haha I just think the OC gave the interior of Utah's defense too much credit. I also think he doesn't have a great grasp in what his personnel that he has currently performs well. I will have to watch the game again but that was my thought.

Given that, I think Coach Sawvel and Johnson pull a rabbit out of the hat this week and we beat the buffs 28 to 24. We have a special teams touchdown and a defensive touchdown.
