WYOMING vs. CSU - Bronze Boot Week

No Coffman or Gentry. Not sure we can pull it out without these two

I think Smith will have a good game Saturday after getting his first start under his belt. It looks like Smith is not focusing on one receiver like Coffman has been for the most part. I look for Smith to come out throwing because I expect CSU to load the box all game.

Well, duh. Because Gentry is out...

I didn't know that!

I'm hoping CSU looks extra sluggish Saturday. These guys thought they were the shit. 11 win season, new stadium coming, everyone linking them to the Big XII. Upward trajectory. Now they're just another middle-of-the-pack MW team, one that doesn't appear as if it will be getting better going forward.

This season has been a punch to the ego for both players and fans. They were convinced they were headed for Boise State 2.0 status. I hope Bohl and co. hit them right in the mouth. I believe Wyo will have intensity over CSU.

I'm cautiously optimistic this somewhat of a breakout game for this 2015 team. Obviously 8 losses is 8 losses, but they can close 2015 out on a good note starting Saturday by beating the Sheep back into the cellar.

I didn't know you were a mind reader. The fact is: csu has had terrible qb play. Higgins was hurt early in the year and they kept switching qb's. They crushed air force so they are capable. I don't think their players or coach see the significance in this game. That may help us if we bring it intensity wise. Even so, I think we need at least +2 in turnovers to win this game.

Still no line on this game.

I've noticed this as well. I thought Coffman was out this week. Is there doubt about his status? I'm not aware of players questionable due to injuries on csewe. Weather is going to be clear and cool, mid 40's according to weather.com.

Out of curiosity, if you were the odds-maker on this one, where would you put it?

I have no clue...maybe start at -8 CSewe?

FWIW, I'd put it at CSEwe -6.

Tough call. CSU hasn't really beaten anyone and has looked downright terrible at times. Their best win was AF and AF toasted us. Still, the AF-WYO game was fairly competitive through 3 quarters. CSU is terrible against the run.

I'm thinking the opening line will be close. Maybe CSU at -4? This is a really tough game to gauge??

I'm seeing CSU -10 going up slowly a few places...

I've been having some positive results betting Wyoming 1st half spreads this year. Taking the points this week too.

Still no line at the off shore books. 10 sounds about right. If for no other reason the early trend will be to bet against Wyo. after a national tv beatdown last week. I would take the 10, I think.

Really, nothing will surprise me in this game. I think the POKES can keep within 10. Might not be a bad bet if that is the line.

This is indeed tough to evaluate.

CSU is downright bad. They did beat AF (which I didn't watch, so don't know how they did it), but their other two wins are meaningless (one against a 1-win Texas-San Antonio, the other against the 248th ranked Savannah State).

We're downright bad, particularly in the sense that you just don't know from week to week on which side of the ball we're going to be outmanned...you just know it's one or the other.

We play about the same strength of schedule, so there's not much to be learned there.

Also, it's college, meaning that the teams that take the field simply won't be the same teams that took the field six weeks ago.

I'll have to see the lines to think about a bet, but fans certainly have every reason to go to this game with some (reasonable) optimism.

Hill will go for 222, and we'll still get beat, but this is gonna be a track meet, predictions coming later in week

On a side note, both teams' terrible season cost each team $500K for this game. Would have been nice to have the money!

IDK?

Kind of have a feeling, like I did when we played Nevada...

Well I'm as disenchanted as anybody with this team right now but.......FUCK THOSE GREENIES!!!

Take em down POKES!
Get that boot to Laramie.

Bookmaker and 5 dimes have posted a line at Wyo. +11.5 and a total of 51. Do we even know who our starting qb will be?

Higher than I thought...

Based on another thread though...if we are down to #4, I will be flying into Vegas with a second mortgage pocket full of money to place on CSewe.

The QB situation is a real wild-card. I've been thinking a lot about placing some money on this game, but I don't think I'm touching it.

Even if we are down to #4, I think the point spread on this is tough to predict. I think we will be able to run on them. It might not translate to scores for us but might limit their opportunities to score? On the flip side, our D has been so porous, they might not need much time to score? This game is a real head scratcher?
