And although it didn't end in a conference title....or hell, even in a bowl game, I'd say '96 was pretty special, ranked in the top 25 for almost the entire season.

That being said, it was freaking 25 years ago.

It feels like those days are gone for good...I really can't imagine the stars that would have to align for us to have a season where we spend most of it in the top 25.

The Calhoun thing was the only really good thing about CDC.

Dimel had to go all Bill Clinton on us (btw, he married that waitress). He left when he saw that we had nothing in the cupboards in terms of talent.

Keonning couldn't coach a whole team as HC to save his life!!!!

It seemed like all athletes were moved to O under DC but Bohl does seem to recruit pretty well on D. If Bohl just said fuck it and hired a up and coming wide open O coordinator, could it work? If Bohl just ditched all O philosophy bs and hired a somewhat spread o coordinator, would it work if Bohl could swallow his rushing O pride? I don’t think Bohl could ever ditch his philosophy but man It seems like a Bohl guy on D coordinator and a DC guy on O would be the ticket. If you can get the guys on D under Bohl, you should be able to get the guys on O for a different O
