Yeah, as an outsider I'm pretty surprised that it's being billed this way. Seems like someone in some office somewhere figured that would be a good way to "sell" the game... or something like that.

I think fans of both teams are just excited in general. We're the big team to the East, you're the only major college on our western border, and we rarely play. It's in Laramie, which is a beautiful city, and there's potential for a good game. You guys have a small but cool stadium, the view is nice (from what I remember) and your fans are knowledgeable about the game. I don't think selling it as "the biggest game" is necessary - the game pretty much sells itself.

+1 I agree!!!

The most important game this season isn't even a home game this year. #1 is always Beat the Sheep - I don't care who else we play or where.

Completely agree! Only wins that ever felt better were the ones over BYU, and that was by a VERY slim margin, though maybe it's only in retrospect they feel better.

Have to say, though, last season's win was almost too sweet. Don't want to give them too much motivation for this year's showdown...

While I consider it to be important as proving our worth outside of the MWC if I hear one more person call this the biggest game in the History of the Cowboys I'm going to punch them in the mouth.

I don't think we are that lucky, plus I am sure his backup would start on most D1 teams...

That is correct. Crick likely won't play, but Terrance Moore is a beast.

If there's one position on the team that we can afford to lose a guy (or two, or three) it's DT. We have a LOT of defensive tackles that are very good.
